For me, it's now perfect on Wayland, I've had 0 crash, hybrid graphics works, no glitches, no performance problems, no latency, it's just seamless, but I have a recent card

2024-05-14 07:41:42 +0000 UTCNot really optimistic about it yet. You see many people online talking about how nvidia is actually good now without any major issues but for me it's still really bad. Both on x11 and wayland.

2024-05-13 13:33:26 +0000 UTCI think that Nvidia starting to work on open source is mainly due to Linux being so prevalent in AI, I doubt that they care that much about Linux gaming and Linux home computers. Valve could potentially make Nvidia become even more involved in Linux by working together with them and it could be in Valve's interest since they have a desire to move away from Microsoft's platform and do their own thing, but such a collaboration could only be successful if gaming on Linux gets enough traction to make both companies enough money and with Microsoft's monopoly on gaming computers it's a battle far from being won right now.
