Yep but Thea character was inspired by a character in the comics named, "Mia" which was why on Arrow, season 3, when Thea was training with Malcolm in season 3, she used the disguise name of Mia.

Remember, she was the child of Moira and Malcolm Merlyn who was a SEMI-original character himself and Oliver's mother in this show isn't even named Moira. So no Thea. However, you may learn about the actual comic character Thea was based on at some point.
