Moving forward.
Added 2020-04-03 01:05:25 +0000 UTCWe've been in this together for quite some time, and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.
I have had a few people question if we would cease operation, the answer to that at this time is a very loud "NO."
Work wise, everyone who contributes to the archive are remote in general, working wise isn't much of an issue however several in our community are affected quite severely as a side effect of the current situation.
Monetary wise, the yearly bills don't come in for a couple more months and we are currently in good order for this.
I did however want to address another part of the monetary situation. I know a lot of you have had it beat into your head daily by the media, virus this, corona that. I'm plainly tired of seeing it too honestly. However there are a lot of you who have lost your job currently, a lot of you who have been laid off and are in serious financial stress yourself.
I want to make it abundantly clear that there is no shame in removing your support for the archive if you can't afford it right now.
I appreciate the support, and it absolutely does give me a reason to keep going and growing. However, please do not make it a priority over your own situation in life. You can always renew the Patreon support later.
I have given a couple patrons refunds for the past couple months, I hope this helps you. We're in this together and I couldn't be here without you.
I am temporarily postponing the new physical server upgrades for a while, things are at unusually inflated prices and infrastructure for shipping is already at critical load.
Stay safe, stay home if you can. The discord server is always open and there are lots of people available to chat if you're bored / lonely.
In personal news, I work at an essential job in a non essential position and I'm scared to hell and back that either:
1. I'm going to get sick with two preexisting conditions already. (That won't end well.)
2. I decide to take self quarantine leave for more than 2 weeks and get fired for not showing up. (That won't end well either.)
There are currently 0 regulations (that I know of) allowing for leave longer than 2 weeks for those with severe / major factor preexisting conditions.

I took mine off because of it, now I put it back. Take that pinko pox.
