My Little Pony Anniversary

Hello everyone I hope your ponyversary is going well!

The Pony Archive began in 2015 and officially launched in the summer of 2016.  Since then I've been keen on archiving and trying to preserve the content that originally brought myself into the herd.

I also like to give back to the fandom who've collectively given me something I'd have never had without discovering pony.   As part of The Pony Archive, I also offer hosting to most pony projects that go under / need a starting platform.

Last year I helped host the 4chan My Little Pony Anniversary stream after our usual sources went down.  This year I'm providing a majority of the server power to the stream.


This leads me to the need to clarify exactly *how* much goes into the archive and what exactly gets used.

The main body of the archive is currently co-located on a server.  That server is the one that's completely out of space. (and the server that's listed in this patreons' goal.)
The archive's server is access (primarily) by a in-front proxy server that was previously not listed in the goals.   The domains used also sip up some cash every year.  

Some of those who know me personally know that's not the only server that's used.  I use 2 EU servers totaling 59 Euro / month for archiving websites and other content.  (Said content would get copied over to the main server, when we weren't full!)  1 of those two servers also host my personal website, but that's mainly a one page site with a few links.

This anniversary I decided to lease a few VPS nodes and one US dedicated server as well as two more EU dedicated servers. Totaling $25 / month and 43EU / month respectively.  These servers are more than likely temporary pending a decision whether the community as a whole will make use of them.

I have edited the goals of this patreon to reflect what's actually (currently) being spent directly on archiving.  My usage of my other servers for archiving not included.
