Summer Donations Update
Added 2023-08-04 13:57:30 +0000 UTCGreetings! It seems the summer got away from me! It has been awhile since I published an update on the charitable side of this Patreon. While it seems that Patreon no longer has a 'goals' feature, I am still very much committed to using a portion of the funds earned from my 3D printing efforts to put towards causes that resonate with me.
This summer, I have contributed portions of Patreon donations to the a series of groups with a presence in Nebraska that are doing hard work in the areas of animal welfare and conservation:
- The Nature Conservancy - Nebraska ($200) - Goal to preserve plants, animals, and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive.
- Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo ($200) - Goal to inspire, educate and engage people to serve as lifelong stewards for the conservation of animals and their habitats. (if you ever find yourself in Omaha, the facilities at this zoo are absolutely amazing!)
- Nebraska Humane Society ($200) Goal to protect, saves and enrich the lives of animals in the communities we serve. They provide education, give sanctuary to animals, encourage adoptions and promote responsible pet ownership.
In the meantime, I'm putting the finishing touches on a more customized 'life-size' Spirit pack with exposed cyclotron and some other unique features. I will be pivoting to Halloween mode here and I have a few new custom projects in mind for this year's spooky season - stay tuned!
