Honor Bound Early Access Update: Chapter 2

As ever I'd love to hear what you think. I'm holding off on making another feedback questionnaire until I've put up more chapters, but please do post comments, send messages, or contact me on my Tumblr or on the CoG forum about what you think. Your feedback has been incredibly useful so far!
I'm always interested in what you think of the characters, who appeals to you best, whether your choices feel like they matter, whether anything feels dragging or rushed, and all that good stuff.
What you can expect from this chapter:
- settle in at Ozera, get a feel for how it works, help or cause havoc, and befriend or offend more of the teachers
- take part in some emotionally laden religious ceremonies, or not
- visit your old hometown and have feelings about it (or not. You are made of stone and do not need to feel anything)
- meet Catarina's cast of classmates and do some student-wrangling. Will you be too cool and aloof to throw yourself into classroom activities, or will you try to make friends?
- spend more time getting to know Matia, Raffi, Korzha, and Savarel, characters, maybe bond with them, maybe do some flirting??
- encounter an unwelcome? welcome? figure from your past

Hehehe! This is actually relevant to what I'm coding right now. In the talk I'm coding it feels right to have romanced-Matia checking in about the vibes they're seeing between you and Korzha (if they have seen them lol), so I'm having them ask you about it in Chapter 5. You can yearn silently about the idea, or tell Matia that you're into both of them; either way it'll set a variable that you're interested in polyamory with the two of them, and the narrative will respond to that down the line when you discuss it with them both later.

2023-08-02 10:17:58 +0000 UTCI might put this on a separate post too as patreon is so bad at showing comments, but! there are some definite Early Matia/Korzha/PC Vibes (Matia will also mention openly if you've flirted with them and they've seen you flirting with Korzha too) and some tentative things that you can read as Early Fiore/Savarel/PC Vibes as well in Chapter 3. You can start Raffi, Savarel and Matia's romances early in the game if you want to; you can ask them out in Chapter 3 and go from there, or go more slowly depending how you want to get to know them. Because the shape of Fiore's romance is pretty slow (though you can tell them early that you do want to romance them) so getting together with both them and Savarel officially will happen fairly late - at the moment I've got it down for about three-quarters through the game. The shape of Korzha's romance is... chaotic which you may see when Chapter 3 comes around, and there are some things the PC needs to do in Chapter 6 that open them up to dating them seriously (though you are able to have A Bunch Of Charged Moments and maybe kiss them before that). But I *think* you will probably be able to start the polyamorous romance with Matia at around the same time as the individual Korzha route in Chapter 6. That one is less set in stone, but either way it'll be an earlier possibility than Savarel/Fiore because as chaotic as Korzha is, Fiore is more cautious in some ways (and less so in others). Basically there are some dealbreakers that come up as the game progresses, such as actions you can take that, say, a character really doesn't like, or the fact that some characters aren't compatible with both dating the PC at once... but what I *have* outlined so far is that if you've dodged the dealbreakers and have been friendshipping or silently pining for the whole of the early and mid game, the last point you can start a romance will be Chapter 9 (compared to Chapter 6 in Royal Affairs, or the last chapter for slow Asher and Beaumont).
