Test game for Renpy : Inside Job Parody

So I've spent some time on Renpy, and I've found that its developing principles are different from what I had in my mind. It is definitely a convenient tool for making visual novels. Hence, I whipped up a story and give it a shot.

At first, I was thinking of Rick & Morty Parody, but Ferdafs did a good job on that. It would be too similar. So I take on another show. And you bet. It's in Inside Job.  The game is called "Inside Job: Life of Brett Hand". You play as Brett Hand, a new recruit at Cognito Inc. The story is pretty much the same as the show. However, there are some minor twists. At some points in the game, you can make some decision that leads to NFSW stuff.  (Warning: The game consists of voyeurism and minor NTR). I redrew some scenes, but I haven't fully finished all drawings. As of the current version, there is only 1 NSFW scene (currently a sketch).

THIS GAME SERVES AS A TEST GAME FOR ME TO INVESTIGATE RENPY. 

WHAT I'VE FOUND :
I was able to quickly create a story with minimal coding. Renpy platform is highly suitable for visual novel development when you have a story to tell. However, if you want something like my old game, it's gonna be difficult ... very difficult. The element of hidden secrets and bonuses are challenging to be implemented. If I have to go with Renpy, I would incorporate "Status" and "Item" mechanics since they are easy to implement. It would take me faster to generate content. However, in my opinion, I think the lack of interesting game mechanics could lead to its becoming a boring game.

WHAT'S MY PROBLEM:
Game development is hard, and I'm working on this alone. My major concern is drawing/animation. As you can see, I am no artist, and I have been relying on others' works.  Paying for animation also costs a lot as well. I could collect more from my supporters (you guys), but it feels wrong since my work is somewhat mediocre. Also, I have no time to plan for monetization. Hence, it's been very difficult to push this hobby into reality. If I stick with making parodies (which I really enjoy), it's gonna take too much time to create new content and it's gonna cost a lot. That's why I'm thinking of making my own art and my own story. I will have to exploit my strength in programming and add interesting mechanics to compensate for low-quality art. Otherwise, it would take too much time to create anything.

WHAT'S THE PLAN:
As I said previously, I'm abandoning Summer & Morty. It's been a good ride. But I have to move to something new. I need to find a platform that is suitable for my content. Renpy doesn't seem like it though. So I will finish "Inside Job" soon. And I will start on a new game development platform that I have in my mind, "Unity". I will also delete all tiers except for one. And all of my content will be public starting this April. Thanks for supporting me guys.
