Episode 6 of Breakout will be live Sunday night (August 4th) I wanted to make this post on the same day that the episode was posted but there are a few people that I need to immediately refund before the month ends as I do not want to have any further obligation to them past July. Aside from those few people, if you have been waiting for the past few months and would like to be refunded, please privately message me. I have no issues doing so and have maintained that ever since I made this patreon. Thank you to the people who continued their patronage even through the unreliability and uncertainty. I do sincerely apologize.
I can’t tell you how much of a chore it is to eat or be productive when your brain is constantly telling you that you’re tired. Turning on a laptop or writing out a long post explaining another delay was an even bigger feat. One bad day can easily turn into bad week. I even thought about rehoming my two dogs that I just got because it got to a point where I didn’t feel I would be able to adequately take care of them. The things that have happened in my personal life recently have 100% prevented me from editing or uploading. I would never lie and say I’m going to upload something knowing I wasn’t actually planning to. So to see people insinuate that or just flat out say that I’m a liar hurt but I get it lol. Feeling frustrated about me being unreliable as a creator during this time is completely valid and no one owes me grace. But there are people who feel that way and choose to handle it by quietly unsubscribing or messaging me for a refund, and there are people that feel that way and choose to handle it by voicing frustration and announcing that they’ll be unsubscribing under a post regarding the loss of my dad. It doesn’t matter which one anyone feels is right but it does matter which one aligns with the boundaries i’ve set on my patreon. And when I log in to see someone who has never paid me a dime or someone that just became a paying patron for very first time in mid July, chiming in and proclaiming that they’ve had to endure many inconsistencies from me, I’m reminded of why I created these boundaries in the first place lol.
I’m hoping that a refund(s) will be an adequate recourse for those who chose to emphasize the importance of money/business over human or personal issues in my public comment section. I agree that my communication has waned at times. But I can assure you that is has way more to do with the constant mental anguish and grief that I’ve had to endure in such a short time than it does my business acumen. Knowing that I’ve already had to previously delay content for less serious reasons only added to that anguish. I realize that nothing I say will appeal to anyone who doesn’t really care. Although, I don’t think I should be trying to appeal to anyone who refers to multiple back to back deaths in my immediate family as “instances” anyway. Seeing multiple people that refrained from sending any condolences choose to confidently speak up about their dissatisfaction, was as eye opening for me as I’m sure my inconsistencies have been eye opening for them.
What I will say is that I’ve worked way too hard on this content over the years and lost too much sleep to let anyone publicly question my integrity. I’ve given up too much time with friends and family to be painted as a liar. And I pay too much for voice actors and licensing services to be painted as a grifter. I’m not 100% mentally but I’m well enough to start working on content again and I’m extremely determined to dispel any and all negativity that has found its way to my patreon community recently. I can admit that I may have opened the door for this type of negativity due to my inconsistencies, but I’m excited to prove people wrong and even more excited for you guys to see what’s in store. 💕

Reading this post broke my heart a little bit because during some of the worst times of my life, Higher Learning was there for me. Watching these college students go through things and continue to push forward has helped me move on from a lot of bad people and focus on my own ambitions. I really look up to you for how well you've built on these stories and continue to write and animate all by yourself for your fans. I'm grateful for you and sorry for your loss. A lot of people are very insensitive to other peoples feelings which says more about them and less about you. This just goes to show that you are the prize and you’re in high demand. You have something that they want and most likely can’t even do. You are an extremely talented individual who has been blessed with creativity that cannot be duplicated. 1 of 1. SN: I used to love playing Sims growing up. One day I got bored and typed “black sims roleplay” in YT. I needed something that brought back my inner child as well as something that will keep me entertained as an adult. That was the day that I found your page and was introduced to Breakout. Ever since then, I have watched all of the content you have created because it’s really that good! I’ve told so many of my friends to watch Breakout because they also loved Sims and since then have enjoyed your shows just as much as I have. Although people are playing $5 a month because they’re expecting content from you often, doesn’t mean that you don’t have a life outside of this. With all that you’ve shared that’s going on in your life, anyone who is an avid supporter of you should gladly be giving you $5 a month if that means helping you meet ends meet, or taking care of your dogs, or even being able to take yourself physically, emotionally, or spiritually. I hate that people would rather sit here and complain about $5 that they invested in you than to ask if you’re okay. To anyone reading this other Trap, we need to do better. She has a life, we have a life. We are not accessible to anyone at their demand. She is not a slave, we are not slaves. She doesn’t owe us anything, but yet she likes to provide us with content because she wants to. Please give people grace as God has given to us. Your creativity and storytelling was so compelling that I HAD to show my support. I never truly understood how you do what you do, but I am aware enough to know that the price you pay for giving us this content takes away from your mental health; and to add in the loss of family members, and the inconsistency of pple that you rely on to aid in bringing your stories and content to life, it sounds like and is too much for one person. When I read messages from you about these flimsy subscribers (not supporters), I feel for you and it makes me upset for you, because at the end of the day they lack consideration and the ability to show grace. If they took a second to realize that someone has a real life beyond creating sims content, then maybe they wouldn't write the things they say or unsubscribe. I've been around long enough to know that you've got a life beyond this, and your kind of creativity takes time, it has never bothered me. So I'll leave you with this, them haters and fake subscribers, they are "not like us", the real ones.

I lost my son in 2020, an aunt in 2021, and uncles in 2022 & 23. You never know how the day will greet you. One moment you can be smiling and then the next, a storm of emotions overcome you. I would love to tell you that it will get better but…honestly, it may never. The grief doesn’t just stop or slowly fade. Each year, you just learn how to live with it. I know some may not agree with what I’m going to say but, trust me when I say, take time for your mental. We’ll still be here. After my son passed, I went to a very dark place. Hell, you dropped season 2 of HL like two weeks after and you don’t know how much being able to watch that took a 🤏🏾 off my mind. Don’t allow yourself to slip into a dark place. 🤎
