I think Ken suffered a way more traumatic experience then just his parents his actions are gearing towards some sort of sexual abuse as a child maybe and he never confided in anyone else but Kayla and he probably tried to commit suicide at one point because he couldn't deal with everything mentally and Kayla was his only support system, probably helped him seek therapy like Maya is doing for Dru etc. However if this is the case that would mean Kayla took advantage of him when he was most vulnerable...... interesting I obviously could be very wrong here
