Slowed Down A Little

They did arrive, now we are waiting for the hardcover versions. In the meantime, my kid started school again but the new schedule has been difficult on both of us. I'm now waking up a lot earlier, but she's struggling and I am finding it hard to go to sleep at an earlier time. I haven't adjusted yet so I've just been really tired all month.
On top of that, I have been working on doing flat colors for my friend's published series, as well as helping with the Oklahoma Comic Arts Festival that's happening September 13th. (https://www.okcomicarts.org/ocaf-festival)
I also just applied for a part-time job. I am STILL reeling from the tariffs that went into effect the day after I started my Kickstarter, so to offset my losses I figured I should pick up some extra hours outside of the house. I don't think commissions are the way to go because people are not spending as much money on luxuries like art these days, so I am trying to find something with flexible hours. Not ideal, but this is how it is right now.
At least until the festival is over with, I'm going to be very slow with updates. Here's a teaser of the page I've been working on for what seems like forever.

I'm still only at the flatting stage! But I've also been working on setting up my book so it can be sold in stores and be available in libraries, and for the first time I will be making an ebook version available to buy.
If you missed the Kickstarter, the book is available to buy in paperback for $20 USD. I will be setting up an online store in September after the festival is over with. I'm also running a few workshops on making manga and I have at least two other events planned this year. So busy!
Just wanted to let you guys know why updates have been slow! Thanks for sticking with me!
