A great movie for many reasons, like the effects and characters but most importantly the message. To Stop nuclear tests. In Japan they knew just how devastating the nuclear bomb was, and continued to be as the tests were harming fishermen. So this movie was their way of expressing that issue in a way that would reach many people as monster movies were very popular at the time.
