He had never encountered someone like John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan), a massive black man convicted of brutally killing a pair of young sisters. Coffey had the size and strength to kill anyone, but not the demeanor. Beyond his simple, naive nature and a deathly fear of the dark, Coffey seemed to possess a prodigious, supernatural gift. Paul began to question whether Coffey was truly guilty of murdering the two girls.

Hi Deasha. Here is a bit more info about the Green Mile. 1: Michael Clark Duncan (John), got Recommeded to Frank Darrabont, by non other then Bruce Willis (Actor from Die Hard) to Play John. 2: When John Said "Careful" "Careful" he said that directly to Paul.. cos he knew who was coming in, in a way. (Wild Bill) 3: When Del been put on the Chair, John Knew Percy was put on the Main job.. thats why John were shaking so much (tried to take most of the Pain) 4: Del got Excecuted, because he was Gay. (In the movie its 1935 afterall) 5: When John Saves Belinda from her tumor, he did not spit the flies out then and there.. so he could give them to Percy.. So percy would kill Bill, and mess his own head up too.. (Two birds with one stone in fact) 6: Mr Jingles Dies at the End.. thats why Paul said.
