YIKES. This took a while and I'm not overly fond of it, but I have to keep going. I might adjust some of the blocking in the bottom left corner later but for now I am keeping it as is.
Lots has happened since I started my Kickstarter. The tariffs have not been kind, to be sure. Since I launched it, prices have changed even for locally produced items and I'm definitely not going to be able to print as many books as I originally planned. Don't get me started on shipping costs...
Anyway. Art now.

The original black and white page. This was not at all easy to convert into a more western approach.
I drew all that background only to have most of the background in the bottom left get covered up with dialogue balloons in the end.
Silhouettes.

Flats.

Shadows...

Gradients and highlights.

I redid some stuff. Moved around a panel and added in a makeshift background.

DONE. Added text and then glared at this. I'm really tired and gonna go now cuz I'm salty over something happening with an unrelated work commitment. The next page will be up later this week.
