Sketch: Seamus and Eddie 🍀⚓ shoulder ride at the show

I've had this idea in mind for a really long time, cause I wanted to show how Seamus and Eddie have a lot of common interests and have a lot of fun together, and I also love the casual "unintentional" physical intimacy of a shoulder ride at a concert. I like showing these two out and enjoying each other's company to show the kind of close friendship they have.
pray for me as I start figuring out this painting, you guys. I've never painted a true crowd scene like this in my life and I'm scared! haha. It'll take a lot of focus and iteration to figure out all these extra characters and still keep the focus on the main two. but I'm excited for this scene and how it adds another layer of closeness/intimacy/tension to their relationship.

Actually, I was in a college service fraternity and the guys were comfortable enough with each other that they would do things like this, even out in public. Lots of game-day shoulder rides, as I recall - trades, usually, so both guys would get to see over the crowd. Thanks for capturing that feeling.

I’d imagine it starts out with an idea, then sketching on paper… maybe an app on an iPad… and then evolution to a final piece? Very curious of the process of an artist!
