Grey/black ink sketches and a watercolour with gouache study of Ocelots.
I am still really pleased with the watercolour and gouache study.

If Germans find out you're a wine drinker they love telling you about this drink and it's name (it means cold pussy cat)
It's basically wine and cola mixed.

So it dawned on me I rarely paint Tortoiseshell cats, which torties have a soft spot in my heart as my first cat Minksy was a Tortie. I seen her as like a sister in a troubled childhood.

I actually find cats looking up difficult, it's like their noses disappear into their round faces and it's easy to loose their cheekbones so it's something I like to practice.

I really liked how this looked with just line art and acrylic ink washes on it. I think because it can look like aged paper.
Nice thing about acrylic ink washes is that they often make paper dr...

This painting I wanted to play with orange/brown with a drastically different background of greens. I varnished it with a matte finish which I quite liked as it brought out the details in the face ...

Grey/black inked sketches of Felis bieti or Chinese Wildcat and a gouache study of a Sandcat.
I was thrilled last year to be able to see a Sandcat in person at the Berlin zoo.
So late last year I was approached to illustrate a card or two in the 6th extinction deck. It features a lot of artist!
Some of the list is here, along with animals.

I wanted to make a vintage poster art looking piece with a tuxedo cat as it dawned on me I didn't have any art of bicolour cats.
I will be bringing this original to Eurofurence Art Show as a...
Due to the mad rush preparing for anthrocon I did not get any good scans of this before I mounted this in its frame. I'm not thrilled with this photo either but it least shows it which is why I'm m...

Decius one won't take as...
This is a 9X12 gouache painting that has been in my work pile for a few months sadly. I wanted it for Anthrocon art show but sadly I could not get the time to work on it. Now I'm hoping for it at Euro...

Few of these painting I will be posting here soon. But I thought I'd give those not attending anthrocon a peak.

This is my 11X17 limited print of 'Phases of the Fox' while I was bilding it, I loved how it looked like a bling storm swept through.
The original I sold at EuroFurence.

When I'm painting I almost never paint without a digital mockup(sketchbooks aside as that's a sketchbook not a painting).
I find I work faster and with more confidence if I take a little extra time...
