Zandar's Saga 416
I have to admit, Zandar looks pretty sexy in her academic robes.

"The Confederacy of Fairies and Elves" was the book in Sir Conrad Dugal's library which should have contained the name of the White Elf, but had pages missing.
The Red Book of Appin is a "real" piece of folklore. More information about it can be found on the internet.
That's a severe blow for the magical school.
Edessa drops a huge hint about his name, but I've discovered that such wordplay is only obvious if you already know it - and is impossibly opaque to the uninitiated.
Edessa is not being fair here. "Brimful of deceit"?? She sounds like a Vulpitanian.

Actually the elves were sort of a vanishing race before then. The events that Xavier is speculating about will eventually be covered in the Ballad of Adler Young. 2017-05-03 02:11:05 +0000 UTC View Post
My mental image of elvish architecture always looks like the Ayleid ruins from "Oblivion". My drawing skills have never quite measured up to my inner vision.
Zandar is really making it clear that she is not interested in their tomfoolery.

All three of these characters' names are inspired by occultists from the early twentieth century. Staircrawley is the easiest one to figure out. Look back on 399 to see Xavier Hoardblemish...

I am not Scottish, but some readers have claimed they can identify MacMath's accent. Where do you think he's from?
The reference to peaches is a bit obscure. "Persoc" is the Old English word for "peach."

You have to pronounce "Xavier" in the Spanish manner to get the alliteration.

Remember back on 392, the spider introduced herself as Alice. GET IT? Eh? Eh?

Ah, perhaps here's someone a bit less incompetent. I mean, he at least LOOKS like a real wizard.

Why do they shout out the name of their attack as they're doing it?

Careful, Zandar. Don't underestimate this guy. He looks potentially dangerous.

This looks like some shenanigans for sure.
Almost a century before Harry Potter, the title "He who should not be named" was claimed by a certain King in Yellow...
The Percysthorpe locals don't seem to be very helpful.
