Progress Report

Hey all,

Nothing much to report other than I am rendering frame 2048 out of a total of 5555.  It's looking great, too.

Now I'm REALLY rendering.

Last night I was experiencing some issues.  Super long delays before each frame started rendering, and the rendering itself was painfully slow.  17 minutes per frame.

We are well into the zone where the sim was freaking out last time..  It's hanging in there.  So that's good news.  Should be done in a few hours.

The last fifth of the animation was causing terrible problems with Maria's pants sim.  I stopped the sim and made changes..  Resuming the sim from a hundred ...

All done with the top.  Adding some pants now.  These won't take as long, thankfully.  Then it's render-time!

So I was simming cloth all day..  Things were going great..  The tearing is off-the-charts cool.  Best ever.  But then I hit a problem... the shirt slipping off earlier than it was...

I woke up today with a new version of the cloth simulator plugin in my email.  It has a new "sew" feature.  Check out the attached video.  Way cool!

Cloth Under Investigation

Hair is solved..  I heard from the cloth sim dude.  He is looking at it but cannot replicate my issue so far.

I made this little video showing the problem.

Hair issue resolved.

Lightwave support fixed me up.  Cloth sim issue remains.  Hopefully not for long!
