S1 was reshaped after real-world scandals, and S2 had to pivot because of COVID. Knowing that makes the Mitch send-off even more impactful. Carell didn’t sign up to play an abuser, but he brought such depth and nuance to a deeply flawed individual — it really landed. Alex is gonna Alex — messy, self-centered, but layered. I was surprised you saw her line to Chip as pure ego. He’s clearly in love with her. He’s constantly sacrificing for her — sabotaging the show, lying about COVID, ghosting his fiancée. It's all there. Still obsessed with Crudup’s Corey. S1 was all charm, S2 he’s unraveling, and that love confession? Devastating. You can tell he meant to confess something else, but another piece of truth slipped out. He totally owns the role — easily my favorite character. Stella was a breath of fresh air. Loved her energy. Wish we got more Mia — she’s subtle but powerful whenever she’s on screen. Weirdly, Bradley didn’t land for me this time. Loved her in S1, but this season felt off — her compromises, the dry Laura dynamic, and her brother’s subplot didn’t do much for me. Thanks again for the great reactions — bring on S3!
