Austin's "Sting First" was terrifying!! I also think they've set it up to where Joe is Georgia's end game, I'm just curious to see how they do it at this point. I'm guessing with Georgia getting arrested and being tied to murders now it might be the final straw that actually scares Paul off.

also i agree about the actor playing younger gil. i think he’s so good and really captures older gil’s energy but more youthful. like i see him and i see older gil in him. i feel stressed during every scene with him and younger georgia.

i’m so glad you loved this episode and how it filled in the blanks on everything that didn’t make sense in 8. i love when shows do differing povs. it’s so creative. the episodes had different directors so it was hard on the actors to get things close enough to similar. i thought they did an amazing job though.
austin being the one to shoot gil was such a shock. like it shouldn’t have been bc we knew something was coming when he found the gun but still watching it play out was insane. they do keep saying he’s way too comfortable with a weapon and he gets excited at violence and blood and that kid seriously needs to be in therapy. him saying “sting first” was so worrying.
hmm interesting because i didn’t think georgia canceling the wedding had anything to do with her talk with joe on my first watch. in the narration she mentions knowing when it’s time to run so i always just assumed the gil stuff spooked her enough after his blackmail threats and then everything that went down at the house. he said she couldn’t run but it doesn’t mean she won’t try.
i love that georgia and joe finally got to talk about the sunglasses and recognized that they both know who each other are. i don’t know if i think georgia’s in love with him just yet. i think she likes him and how he’s there for her and that he doesn’t judge her but it’s hard for me to see her as in love. they didn’t give them enough content this season i don’t think. i still want them to be together someday (and i do feel like the show has set him up as her endgame) but idk if i think that time is now. that said, she was jealous of him with cynthia so who knows?
that scene with georgia and cynthia was interesting because we could see why georgia decided to kill tom as a sort of thank you but it’s still wrong of her to play god and kill yet another person. but i do get it and she was trying to do something nice and help out in the only way she could. it’s a very tricky situation.
