Totally agree. I honestly feel terrible for Patrick this whole season because after all the bullshit he's been through I really thought he was going to find something special for himself with Ivan and instead he gets taken advantage of by an adult and then betrayed by not only his crush but his own sister. "He's convinced himself that she's the female version of Patrick, and that's more socially acceptable in his head." oOo I never thought of it that way!

2023-03-22 12:39:25 +0000 UTCI 100% agree, Ivan looked crushed which I think definitely shows he has stronger feelings for Patrick. And yes, ugh Ivan's dad sucks!! He is a selfish baby who just wants what he wants and doesn't give a crap about who it hurts...or how illegal it is!

2023-03-22 12:34:53 +0000 UTCPatrick gets a lot of hate for giving in to Cruz's advances whenever Iván hurts him, but I think we're forgetting Cruz is the adult in the situation, and he shouldn't be letting it happen. Also, Iván is just as bad by sleeping with Patrick's TWIN sister. I think that's a detail a lot of people don't realise, and it makes the betrayal even worse than if Ari was just a sibling. It's like Iván is allowing himself to fall for Ari because he's convinced himself that she's the female version of Patrick, and that's more socially acceptable in his head. During the dinner, Iván said he had someone on the brain (singular). The only reason he included Ari in this conversation was because of his dad's question. He looked so excited to gush to his dad about his boy crush, then Iván’s smile recedes pretty quickly, following, “Really? Who is she?”. Like, "Oh, right. It’s supposed to be a she, isn’t it?". He definitely just spoke about Ari to soften the blow as he came out to his dad because Cruz wasn't taking the news well. Clearly it was Patrick he had on his mind, or he wouldn’t have reacted with such surprise to the question. I think Iván thought his dad was mad at him for not being 100% straight, but actually, it was just because it involved Patrick. When Iván mentions being with Patrick at home, Cruz immediately understands that it’s on the same night Patrick failed to show up to his room. So Cruz's disapproval is for selfish reasons. I really hope Iván pursuing Ari after that wasn't just so he could get his dad's approval, but I can't think of any other reason. If Iván is bisexual, then maybe he tried to lean more into his lust for Ari if it meant his dad would accept him. Cruz is the worst person in all of this because he KNOWS both Patrick and Iván like each other but he still pursues Patrick for his own gain.

2023-03-21 02:39:03 +0000 UTCI really like this... friendship(?) that´s happening with Caye and Isadora. I think Caye can just relate to Isadora feeling like she needs to be someone else to be liked. Caye did that with lies, and Isadora does it with drugs. The Ivan thing.... I feel like in a better season with better writing this storyline could have worked a lot better. As it is, it´s messy, and weird and... sigh. Ok, so, during the date bidding. Ivan was bidding on both Ari and Patrick, because he likes them both and is confused. I believe in the end he wanted to get Patrick, but got outbid by his dad. And he got mad at him because it looked like his dad is just being homophobic and didn´t want Ivan to be with Patrick. I think it would have been really nice/interesting to see the actual numbers, to know for whom Ivan bid more. They really shouldn´t have had Samu and Ari be a thing at all. Without the whole cheating aspect I feel like this whole mess would be a lot more tolerable. Neither Patrick nor Ivan´s dad know that Ivan and Ari were there. Patrick might saw them leave, but he could have assumed they went to Ari´s house. I feel like the moment Ivan sees Patrick and his dad is when you can clearly tell who is more important to him. He looks so hurt. It would be a lot to process, but I feel like if it wasn´t with Patrick Ivan wouldn´t really care. If he really wanted Ari more than Patrick I think he wouldn´t have pushed her away and dealt with his dad on the next day. Ivan´s dad is the worst. He KNOWS now that Ivan has feelings for Patrick. And his response is to put himself between them. Deliberately hurting both Patrick and Ivan in order to fuck Patrick. It´s so gross and manipulative how he talked to Patrick and framed it like Ivan clearly just likes Ari more, when it´s the dad´s fault that Ivan and Patrick aren´t on that date right now. That ending with Patrick didn´t do much for me either. Like... "Oh no! He is covered in blood!" it´s episode 6. This scene just confirmed that Patrick definitely didn´t kill Samu because they wouldn´t reveal that so early.
