Jessie Dobbie Reactions

Wolf and Cub- Thank you so much for another great episode and reaction, Jessie! I enjoy this episode a lot, and how Darren originally starts out to be the perpetrator. I'm glad that Reese forges a bond with the kid as he tries to teach him that revenge is never the way to solve a problem, and that if he keeps going down his current path, he'll only wind up in prison, or dead. I understand Darren's drive for wanting to see his brother's killers punished, even dead. Absolutely. I would feel the same way too if someone murdered my brother, or someone close to me. However, I can't help that Darren annoys me a bit throughout this episode too. Because he constantly keeps going off on his own against Reese's warnings about what will happen to him if he keeps walking down the path he's going down. He would have gotten himself killed over and over were it not for Reese saving him every time. Nonetheless... I still like his character overall. And I appreciate that he chooses not to kill the bad guys in the end when Andre gives Darren the chance to take his revenge against Brick inside the comic store before Reese comes in shooting up the place with his beanbag rounds. This shows us that Reese's words really did get through to Darren by the end. And in the end... Darren is a solid kid. Now, in regards to Brick being foolish enough to wear the brother's hat out in the open... Brick is certainly foolish, but he isn't stupid. And I say this because most everyone who lives in this city, especially the street thugs and the criminals, all know that a large number of the cops in this city are corrupt and dirty too, as a number of them work for HR. Darren mentions all the police corruption to Reese. And Brick works for Andre, who in turn works for HR. The old white haired corrupt cop we see towards the end, and whom we've seen a few times in this show before, is one of HR's leaders. So, Brick and the rest of his gang, as well as a number of the criminals and thugs throughout this city, all walk around believing themselves to be untouchable. And sadly, they're right. Because they all know which cops to turn to for help. Which is why Brick feels so confident to be able to walk around the city without any kind of reprisals, when the person he steals from was merely a good kid who simply tried to stand up for a girl he liked when she was being harassed. Darren's brother sadly wasn't a priority to the cops, and therefore there were no real reprisals from Brick killing him because he wasn't involved with anyone corrupt like Brick is. Thankfully, Reese is around to put a stop to those cocky enough to believe they're untouchable. And few know about him. The cops all only know about the "Man in the Suit". Next... I absolutely love the moments between Reese and Darren, when Darren talks about how Reese is like a Ronin warrior. Someone who has parted ways from his former employers upon being betrayed by them, and who now fights to protect the innocent from harm. It's absolutely true. Just like you... I love how Darren understands Reese so well too! We've now learned that Reese had been lied to by those he worked for before he disappeared, about who he had been sent to kill, and that he had killed both bad people, as well as innocent people too. And we know how much Reese deeply regrets his past actions. You can certainly see so in his eyes. Short of Reese carrying a samurai sword as his weapon of choice, he is a Ronin warrior. And I love it! :) Also... I really love that Darren hires Reese to fight for him, then how Reese accepts only a quarter for payment. And I very much appreciate the moment when Darren first attempts to hire Reese, as we see the brief look of hurt flash in Reese's eyes when he thinks at first that Darren believes him to be a mercenary, until Darren quickly corrects him by telling him that he believes him to be a Ronin warrior instead. Reese's life is so sad. We know he believes himself to be a monster even though he's far from being such, and it always hurts him when others think of him as such too. This shows us just how good of a man Reese truly is. I really like Carter, and especially Fusco a lot in this episode too. I feel this is the first episode where Reese and Fusco come to a better understanding between one another. And Reese is starting to consider Fusco as more of a friend than he ever used to. Reese even admits to Darren in front of Fusco that he does consider him a friend. In regards to the corrupt police Captain... You have seen him before. In case you can't remember, he appeared back in the previous episode... Get Carter. He is one of the Captains working within HR like I mentioned above. The corrupt police force, who had hired Elias in that episode to have Carter killed. The storyline with Finch, Nathan's son Will, and the woman Will spoke to... Alicia Corwin, is very intriguing. Especially once Alicia suddenly gets spooked upon Will's mention of his father's best friend, and then with the ending when Reese and Fusco learn about how far back Finch's many aliases must go. No... You haven't seen Alicia Corwin before in this show so far. But you will continue to get to know her a little more too, and you will come to see why she suddenly becomes so scared and nervous upon Will's mention of Harold. Fun fact... 90% of the aliases that Finch uses throughout this show are all names of the different kinds of birds. Finch, Wren, etc... And there's a reason for this that will be revealed later on in the show as well. And lastly... I love the moment between Reese and Darren in the end when Darren tries to assure Reese that one day, he will find a home too. It's quite a beautiful sentiment. And once again from the look in Reese's eyes, you can see that he doesn't believe such is possible for him. Reese has definitely come to find a family in his friends. But for him to believe he will one day find a happy ending... I can only imagine how difficult it would be for him to believe it. He certainly deserves to be happy once this is all over, because he's so much better than what he knows. However, for someone who has killed good and bad people, and who believes himself to be a monster, I understand why Reese can't believe it. Thank you again for a fun reaction, my dear friend! I can't wait for more Person of Interest like always!!! Until next time... Sincerely, Heidi
