Christopher Nolan poll!
Added 2023-11-21 17:00:08 +0000 UTCHelp me choose a movie to watch next! I've already watched the Dark Knight Trilogy and Interstellar for the channel, and I've seen The Prestige before!
Comments
Oppenheimer can be great but it won't be better than Interstellar

2023-11-30 21:24:06 +0000 UTCI'd say he's closer to a thinking man's Spielberg, but, yes, all of his films are worth seeing.

2023-11-22 17:09:39 +0000 UTCYou should start with his first film, "Following", and work forward from there. Nolan is the Kubrick of this generation. Each film is a unique masterpiece. He hasn't made a clunker yet.

2023-11-22 15:02:01 +0000 UTC"The Jerk" remains my favorite Steve Martin vehicle, and a handful of other channels have at least reacted to it. Alas, I believe only You, Me, & the Movies has reacted to "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid."
Byrd N. Hand
2023-11-22 08:45:00 +0000 UTCI like Memento, Inception and Tenet. One on the list I haven't seen... so don't know on that one.
Em McG
2023-11-22 04:31:19 +0000 UTCOf course, for some people, you could say the same about "Memento."
Byrd N. Hand
2023-11-22 04:25:05 +0000 UTCYeah, no surprise. Of course, "The Prestige" would at least potentially be giving it a run for its money had Addie not already seen it.
Byrd N. Hand
2023-11-22 04:08:46 +0000 UTCInception's a neat blockbuster movie, but I still think Memento's his best.

2023-11-22 03:11:49 +0000 UTCI know right. IMO, it's the most overrated Nolan movie. At least Oppenheimer (2023) is the runner-up. I would love for her to watch that movie because it just came out on digital today. On top of that, most of the action movies that Addie has watched involved sci-fi, a genre that she's been drawn to. I do hope that she ventures into the realm of straight pure action.

2023-11-22 02:15:06 +0000 UTCIt doesn’t surprise me that Inception would win the poll. Most of the Millennials in here probably voted for it. While better choices like Memento and Insomnia get the short end of the stick.

2023-11-22 00:41:13 +0000 UTCSad, that. Insomnia is a very fine film.
Herman Orff
2023-11-21 19:53:57 +0000 UTCIt would probably be really hard to do a first time watch reaction to it as well. You really need to see it a couple times to really understand it.
Robert C
2023-11-21 19:50:32 +0000 UTCInception was okay. Watched it once and never really had any desire to watch again.

2023-11-21 19:47:21 +0000 UTCI feel as though that one kind of got lost in the pandemic fog for a lot of people... 🤔
Byrd N. Hand
2023-11-21 19:27:28 +0000 UTCYes please, I'm rhythmically stomping my feet for this. Oppenheimer (2023) must become the runner-up to Inception (2010). Plus, she & Jeremy have already seen Barbie (2023). #OppenheimerForAddieCounts
Alex Tan
2023-11-21 18:47:48 +0000 UTCGranted, "Following" is his weakest (and least well-known) film. NO ONE reacts to "Insomnia," though, for some reason. 🤔
Byrd N. Hand
2023-11-21 18:45:59 +0000 UTCHell, I just voted for all of them (because I'll watch them all regardless). 😇 Shame you've already seen "The Prestige." 😕
Byrd N. Hand
2023-11-21 18:44:21 +0000 UTCLest we forget about 'Three Amigos'

2023-11-21 18:40:01 +0000 UTCBy the way, Addie, not to overload you with movie recommendations, but if you like Steve Martin so much, it is a CRIME, as you would put it, if you have not seen "The Jerk." Also, you would probably like "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid," an 80's film that is purposely done in black and white and combines clips of old movies with Steve Martin edited into them to look like he's part of the plot, or rather, that the plot of a bunch of old, famous, films, some noir, is incorporated into the plot of the movie.
Zachary Huneycutt
2023-11-21 18:22:27 +0000 UTCInception, all the way!!! But.... I do need to see Oppenheimer still. So, I guess I can't vote for Oppenheimer. :( Hopefully it's not really the best Christopher Nolan film....
Zachary Huneycutt
2023-11-21 18:17:20 +0000 UTCOppenheimer is a must watch no matter what. Even if it don't win, it's so dang good. It's also a new movie coming out, potential to bring lots of viewership 😉
LightsCameraJake
2023-11-21 18:08:23 +0000 UTCI think Memento should be first. It’s like eating a chef’s amuse bouche and then knowing exactly what great dishes to expect the rest of the evening.
Julian San
2023-11-21 17:45:33 +0000 UTCLove Memento and Inception, didn't really care for Tenet.
Luis Fernandez
2023-11-21 17:35:09 +0000 UTCPlenty of good movies, but to me Memento is the best reaction experience.
Alex Ch
2023-11-21 17:32:11 +0000 UTCI found Oppenheimer to be a very interesting movie that I'm glad I watched, but probably not one I'll watch again any time soon.
Patrick Egan
2023-11-21 17:24:16 +0000 UTCI know right. And Inception (2010) is sweeping this poll. I do hope we give Oppenheimer (2023) a boost because I would love to see Addie watch both movies.
Alex Tan
2023-11-21 17:24:06 +0000 UTCNo love for Tenet, that's sad.
Robert C
2023-11-21 17:22:22 +0000 UTCInception is a great film. Just make sure to pay lots of attention. BTW, you skipped Following (1998). That was Nolan's debut.
EddsHedz
2023-11-21 17:15:44 +0000 UTCMemento getting slept on.. shame. But Inception is a good watch.
Quigonjim25
2023-11-21 17:13:56 +0000 UTCInception is one of the best movies of all time! Tenent is the most confusing of all time! But still awesome!
Mark Dahlen
2023-11-21 17:12:43 +0000 UTCOBJECTIVE: Let's make Inception (2010) & Oppenheimer (2023) tie each other so that Addie watches both movies.
Alex Tan
2023-11-21 17:12:22 +0000 UTCHappy Tuesday, Addie! 😊 All great choices. My vote went to "Inception". "Tenet" and "Oppenheimer" are my other two choices. Have a great day today! 😊
Randee Carreno
2023-11-21 17:09:03 +0000 UTCI think Inception is Nolan's best work, but I also had to add a vote for Memento, it's such an interesting watch.
Patrick Egan
2023-11-21 17:03:55 +0000 UTCHappy Tuesday, Addie. All are great choices but my votes go for Dunkirk (2017), Tenet (2020) & Oppenheimer (2023).
