THE SIXTH SENSE - Full Length Reaction!

Here's the full length reaction to The Sixth Sense! THIS MOVIE IS INCREDIBLE. I never thought I would say this about a horror/thriller movie, but this is one of my favorites that I've watched for the channel. As much as I hate horror, it was so important to tell the story in this movie. Enjoy!

I can recommend "Unbreakable," but Shyamalan lost me on "Signs." I feel it basically exposed him as a one-trick pony hack in the same vein as Jar Jar Abrams, which has continued to this day.

I forget if I was 9 or 10 when I first saw this movie, and I know that some leeway could be given due to my age, but I am still embarrassed by how long it took me to realize that Malcolm was dead at the end of this movie. It took me way longer than most people. Which makes me sad. Edit, because I keep forgetting that Enter posts the comment: I really liked M. Night Shyamalan's first four movies, and I think you really would too. After "The Sixth Sense" came "Unbreakable," "Signs," and "The Village," all of which I think you would enjoy. While in my opinion, "The Sixth Sense" was the best of them, they all share the very story driven necessity for the creepy parts (for the ones that are creepy) and even though I know you don't like that sort of content in general, I think you'd come out of the movies with the same type of appreciation you did from this one. I've heard many people recommend "Split" and "Glass" as well, which are continuations of the "Unbreakable" trilogy. I haven't seen them myself, so I can't personally recommend them, but they receive high praise from a lot of people.

Hey sis, for another love story please watch Ghost with Demi Moore, Whoopie Goldberg and Patrick Swayze. You'll love it, I promise ❤

I think this movie was all about awareness and resolving unfinished business, the whole process.

I remember the entire theater gasping and simply shocked when the shoe, (ring) dropped and we realized he was dead too. All the interactions were connected perfectly. Shyamalan’s name became linked to twist endings with this and have been rolling. I’m thrilled that you enjoyed this and gave it praise as a new favorite! This is a huge checkmark for your movie list. Take care of yourself, Addie!!

That's awesome! I loved your retraction to this! When you said "What's in the box?!" my 1st thought was: "Se7en! You're quoting Se7en!" my 2nd thought was: "You're quoting Se7en, while watching The 6th Sense.." my 3rd thought? Obviously: "You're quoting Se7en. while watching The 6th Sense, which you used to get confused with The 5th Element."

This is one of the movies that reaction channels were made for. Highly recommend the M. Night/Willis follow-up Unbreakable as well. Good shit.

Can't be any worse than my amusement at her telling a character in these sorts of movies that they're gonna die. 😏

Addie, the best part of this film is going back to watch it a second time. It becomes a whole new movie now that you know hes dead from the start.

Is it bad that I like it when Addie shouts "I don't like it!" ?

Luis Fernandez

What a great film so much better when you not seen it before. Thank you for sharing Addie.

Icy Dead People.

Addie, what does The Sixth Sense have in common with Titanic?

Dave965

Nice surprise, thanks for the upload addie. Happy Friday everyone!

Not a big fan of Bruce Willis films. (I wonder if I'll get any hate for saying that; oh well) BUT I DO really like this movie! And I'm glad you're watching it, Addie. I'll check out your vid tonight when I can devote my full attention to it. By the way, many people used to say that when I was a little kid, I looked just like the kid from this movie. I used to have silly adult friends of my mom ask me to say, "I see dead people." And they would say I looked like Haley Joel Osment. If you saw a photo of me at that age, you would see a resemblance, but I also think people see what they want to see. And probably made more out of it that it was. :)

For me, "The Sixth Sense" is almost a must-see for film fans, up there (in my book) with "The Shawshank Redemption". The relationships between Malcolm and Anna, and between Cole and his mom, enables the audience to feel for the characters and know their pain. It was probably obvious to a lot of people who watched the film and I've watched it myself many times from beginning to end, but I only today noticed in Dr. Malcolm Crowe's notes when I saw where he had written Cole Sear, that Cole is a 'seer'. Thanks for a wonderful, heartfelt reaction to a great film. There is a video uploaded by The Tonight Show a few years ago when Fallon was speaking with M. Night Shyamalan, who related a story of back when he was shooting "The Sixth Sense" in the scene when Cole first walks out of his front door but the shot was ruined because someone unexpectedly exited a nearby home. It turned out to be the musician Quest Love who is the bandleader of The Roots on The Tonight Show!

Happy Friday, Addie! 😊 This is such a great movie. Easily one of my favorite Bruce Willis films. Definitely looking forward to watching this later this evening. For some more Bruce Willis doing a comedy I very highly recommend the 2000 "The Whole Nine Yards" and the 2004 sequel "The Whole Ten Yards". Haven't seen any reactions of those two movies yet. Have a great rest of the day today, and a great weekend! 😊

Next you should watch the very fun and crazy Sci-fi Bruce Willis movie "Armegeddon" (1998)

Oh nice, I think this is the first M. Night Shyamalan for the channel! I love his films, they always feel so personal and so full of heart. Looking forward to this. My other favorite Shyamalan films are Unbreakable and The Village, I hope you get a chance to react to those someday.

Chip MC

It's nice to see Bruce in better health, giving one of his best performances. Will watch this later tonight.

Steve SG-1

I would put Francis Ford Coppola's adaptation of Bram Stoker's "Dracula" on that list. Or the silent film "Nosferatu" (1922).

:) Addie!!! :)

I know the Crimson Countess hates horror movies but this October has given her a chance to see that horror can produce some great and classic films.

Speaking of M. Night Shyamalan, I also suggest the Eastrail 177 trilogy (including Unbreakable (2000), Split (2016), & Glass (2019)), as well as Signs (2002), The Village (2004), Lady in the Water (2006), The Happening (2008), After Earth (2013), The Visit (2015), Old (2021) and Knock at the Cabin (2023). #MoreMNightShyamalanForAddieCounts

Happy Friday, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed The Sixth Sense (1999), despite how much you hate horror movies in general. This was the second movie, after Armageddon (1998) and before Disney's The Kid (2000) (definitely watch those), that was part of a three picture deal that Disney made with Bruce Willis after his unmade film Broadway Brawler (1997) got shut down due to Willis being unhappy with some of the film crew. I plan on watching this movie either tonight or on Sunday. Stay tuned to hear my thoughts on the comments of the YouTube cut next week.
