If you dig this you might dig TIME BANDITS. It's very Monty Python-esque. All the same folks.

Philip Davetas

There's a whole list of 10-20 trivia bits that all revolve around how they made the movie for $2,184.00

They wanted to use horses, but couldn’t afford them, so that’s why they ended up using the coconuts. Also, all of the castles in the movie, are actually the same castle, just shot from different angles. Tim the Enchanter was supposed to have a longer name, but John Cleese couldn’t remember it, and he said, “Tim” once, so they kept it in since everyone liked it better.

Besides reacting to ALL the other Monty Python releases (especially "Life of Brian")... I highly suggest “Time Bandits” (1981). It’s written by Python’s Terry Jones and Terry Gilliam and it’s directed by Terry Gilliam. There are appearances by Python’s Michael Palin and John Cleese. It’s essentially a Monty Python movie as you will tell by the style of humor. "Ni!"

Now bring on "And Now for Something Completely Different" (a compilation of sketches from their 'Flying Circus' TV series), "Life of Brian," and "The Meaning of Life."

... which was written and directed by Monty Python member Terry Jones, BTW (who also has a supporting role in it).

...and speaking of Jerry Zucker (who directed First Knight (1995)), I also suggest Ghost (1990). Make sure you have the Kleenex ready because this is one is a real tearjerker.

Speaking of Monty Python, I also suggest And Now for Something Completely Different (1971), Monty Python's Life of Brian (1979), and Monty Python's The Meaning of Life (1983).

Happy Wednesday, Addie! 😊 This is the only Monty Python movie that I've ever seen. And it's hilarious! Two other fantastic medieval movies that you might enjoy are the 1991 "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" starring Kevin Costner, and the 1995 movie "First Knight" starring Sean Connery, Julia Ormond, and Richard Gere. Have a great day today! 😊

Was never much into British comedy, but this was ok... and if u liked this one, u might also like Erik The Viking featuring Tim Robbins (Shawshank)

Happy Wednesday, Addie. Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975) is my favorite medieval comedy. There are so many iconic lines in this movie including the scenes with the Knights Who Say Ni, even with their phobia for the word "It".
