Chapter Two; Sneak Peek #4

I'm continuing to write at a very good pace, likely halfway(?) done with the second chapter. It is most probably going to need to be split in two, delaying the reunion with Milon and Lada and the introduction of the F/F RO for one more chapter. I can't say for certain quite yet. I'm still drafting out the structure of the reunion with the Janowitz (Janowitz's? Janowitzi? Janowitzes?), regardless.

To allow for a ruthless-style loyalist route in the same manner as the tyrannical usurper, I have been writing some high strength, high coldness Elya scenes, and I'm quite happy with how they've turned out. The following is an example of one such scene:

Elya looks down at the sword, gathering her thoughts. Then she turns to the Count and says, "On your knees. Beg for your life."
Bratoljub scowls and sticks out his chin. "I would rather die."
"Allow me, then, to act according to your preference."
Right in front of his retainers and servants, and right in front of you and Darin and all your knights, Elya slashes her blade across Bratoljub's throat.
You flinch.
The blood sprays with violence, splattering across the young queen and staining her dress and coating her crown. His bodyguards--all of them, this time--go for their swords, but the sight of fifty armed knights doing the same keeps them in their place.
They are forced to simply watch as their lord sputters and chokes and dies on the steps of his manor..
Then Elya calmly walks back to you and returns your blade.
