Project 99 Soundtrack - Warp Spasm
Added 2024-06-13 23:06:36 +0000 UTCProject 99 is going to be a dungeon crawler, true, but there's a sort of vision I'm going for with Operators where I don't feel right with them just sitting quietly as portraits on a Party Menu. Expect something more akin to a fighting game's character select menu, that's got a ton more bombast, including my voice announcing your selections as some sort of horrifying hybrid of Shao Khan and SHODAN. To accompany this, is Warp Spasm, a track that's essentially me doing what I can to represent the energy of the Tekken 6 character select screen, if that theme was remade to be the song for the alert phase of a Metal Gear Solid game. The name is a Irish mythological reference, to Cuchulainn, a folklore hero who, through a process called the Warp Spasm, would turn into a incredibly metal version of the Hulk and proceed to monster all over his enemies.
