The problem with 'charge upfront' - IMPORTANT PLEASE READ!

When setting up this Patreon, there was an option to 'charge upfront'. I thought this was the normal thing to do, and didn't realise that it really wasn't. You will all have noticed that you were charged immediately to join this Patreon, whereas most creators only charge on the 1st of every month. After one of you brought this to my attention, I did some research, and here's the thing:
Everyone that has already signed up (and been charged) will indeed be charged again on June 1st, and then the 1st of every month after that (which is the regular billing schedule). This means that in the next few days there will be an anomaly, in that you'll be charged twice in the space of a couple of days. I realise this is not acceptable and I want to sincerely apologise. This choice to 'charge upfront' (again, I thought this was the normal option to tick) is permanent, meaning that I cannot switch it back in order for you all to avoid this second payment on June 1st.
The best way to minimise this issue would be for those of you on a higher tier to change to the lowest tier on the last day of this month, and then switch back to your regular tier on July 1st. This should mean that the June 1st payment would be £1 as opposed to £5 or £10.
I am really, really sorry about this, and this isn't how I wanted to start this Patreon - to try and make up for my error, I will be posting more regular demo content over the next few days, and I will make these posts available to all tiers for the month of June.
I have made this 'pay upfront' issue apparent on the 'about' section, so I hopefully won't need to rectify this going forward. I am sorry it wasn't more clear to begin with. Please feel free to message me privately if this is an issue and I will be more than happy to talk to you about it.
Apologies for my stupidity, I think it sucks that this is now a permanent option I cannot change but I want everyone here to know that I am here to rectify this as best I can.

Ah makes sense! Even if it was still an issue it wouldn’t bother me anyway just wasn’t sure whether to expect 2 lots of money to leave my bank or not! Xx

This post was more in regards to those who joined right near the end of a month and would be charged twice in five days. As you’ve joined near the start of the month, it’s a little less like this issue and closer to a regular schedule.
