Steam servers yesterday when Silksong released π+ Compositing Behind the Scenes
Added 2025-09-05 15:55:30 +0000 UTCAfter posting my original Silksong render in time for the release of the game, I saw tons of people talking about how Steam and other platforms were crashing.
Then, someone commented on my account the idea, "if you bury the guy under a hundred Hornets and slap the Steam logo over his face, that's about what's happening right now." Shout out to Mega21xx on Twitter!
So I made this quick piece that involved rendering different angles of Hornets with transparent backgrounds, then compositing them all in Photoshop.
I know it seems like cheating but even with a 50 series card I couldn't render that many in one go.
Since the image was only made in HD and for a meme, all tiers will get to see this post!
