#293 - 5 AMAZING Daily Finger Exercises!

My friends, you voted for a lesson about daily finger exercises that help with building independence and control! So allow me to show you some of my favorite workouts - these both serve as great warmups and exercises for your finger technique block.

Please don't forget to download your practice files (I added them below the video - a detailed guitar pro file with added instrumentation and a tab pdf sheet) and post your practice clips in the VIP Facebook group if you need any help or input!

Have an awesome weekend and tons of fun practicing :)

Hey, I recommend investing in a Scarlet 2i2 3rd gen, pretty cheap for the work it will do for you, coupled with some good DAW(I use Cubase 12 Elements and it comes with a bunch of amp sims), it is worth the money and definitely much more comfortable to use! If you have any question feel free to DM me, I'll help you since I rocksmith was my way to practice as well.

Also take a look at VOX amplug or the headphones version.

Yoooo that Bias FX is nice! Makes it simple and has plenty for what I need.. I've played guitar for years, but never stuck with it enough to "Get Good"... That Bias is all I need for now, Thank you so much! Saved me $50 I don't have lol

I would go with the same suggestion as Adam's. I mean, it's worth buying a decent audio interface and a good pair of headphones nowadays. You can go cheap like with the Scarlett solo bundle, purchasing the whole package once. I suggest Reaper as your first DAW because it is free and comes with many cool plugins. Bias FX has a free version too and it's good stuff.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I'm just gonna go the amp route as mentioned... found one for about $50, wouldn't hurt to get another one! Thanks again :D

There are amp sims you can use with it, using ASIO4ALL, but you'll have a better time if you pick up an interface like the Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen and use some of the free amp sims, like the ML Amped Roots.

You should be able to use the Real Tone Cable with DAWs (like FL Studio and Reason) and guitar software/plugins like Amplitube 5 (which has a free version). Just do a Google search for Real Tone Cable Amplitube 5.

You can find a cheap amp at a pawn shop or just get an $80 fender frontman amp. I’ve never heard of the cable you’re talking about so I looked it up. It’s a usb guitar cable. You’d probably pay as much for a program like Guitar Rig (about $200) for your pc than a fairly decent amp. Of course with GR you would dial in your own sound but you’d need great speakers or pricey headphones to truly hear what you’re playing and to appreciate the effects you dial up in the program. So if you don’t have either of those, again you’d come out cheaper to buy a decent amp.

Before I had an amp I was in the same situation. I used to just pick a song for a sound i liked, paused the game and just played from there. Then i got a used katana mk2 on offer up. Other apps had lag unless u paid. GL bro

Hey everyone, I have a question. I just joined the group and want to learn to start playing better, but I don't have an amp or any equipment. I have been playing Rocksmith to help me learn, so I have a real tone cable... any Ideas on any software that is worth it to download onto my pc using the real tone cable? any Suggestions would be appreciated so I don't have to drop a chunk on an amp or anything. Thanks in advance! (Posted twice because the other thread hasn't been used in a month, sorry if not allowed)
