Through the Night (Guitar Playthrough)
Added 2021-01-04 14:01:01 +0000 UTCI was asked to do a guitar playthrough for 'Through the Night', the metal song I got to write for David Hasselhoff with the project CueStack.
Maybe that's interesting for a couple of members on here as well: I added the tabs, guitar pro files, and a backing track below! The video also includes a bit of trivia when it comes to the song - it was originally a complete 6 string arrangement but I transposed the rhythm guitars for a 7 string in A standard. That way it sounded a bit heavier without changing anything concerning the arrangement. Had to be careful not to push it too far with the shredding and heaviness but I think it turned out pretty well :)
It was very interesting for me to dive into the world of commissioned song/lyric writing and I learned a lot from this 2-year project! David is 68 years old and this was his very first metal performance, I was surprised by the power of his voice and dedication to the project - what a great guy :)
