And omg! You hit my trope checkbox right where I love it, I'm suuuch a dweeb for this trope, kiddo promises to marry older guy and he's like "sure kid, you got it", and then years later Kid (now like 25) comes back to cash in and older guy is like, "well, fuck". If you still read doujinshis, Naono Bhora is one of my favorite mangakas and she's got some stories with this trope :D
