December 2025 Format Poll

Now that you’ve all had a few minutes to look over the other two polls I posted today, here is the December Format Poll.  For those of you who have joined up in the past year and haven’t seen what I do in December, I really like to post presents for my Patrons here on Patreon.  These can include many things, an extra chapter of a favorite story, a teaser chapter made for an outline that I have previously created, and so forth.  Thus, the format of December is also something I ask my Patrons about in November.  This format ranges from four fics to the normal three fics a month.  

Unfortunately, as is going to tbe the case going forward, RL and family time will be taking a big chunk out of my month.  I will probably be able to spend time every night – the good thing about being on baby time is the nights typically end when she goes to bed, LOL.  

So the choices for the format of December are:

Keep it the way it is now!  This is pretty self-explanatory as I’d just keep the normal three polls: 1Ranma, 1HP, and 1Patron Only poll.  Given how I have decided to not have an HP poll for November, I would prioritize HP first, and have that poll up by Thanksgiving, with the Patron Only being second and Ranma being the last story.  That’s more to do with timing and the fact I normally can keep chapter length for Ranma fics down better than HP fics.  I would also attempt to get a random fourth story out, if at all possible. 

Remove one of the two fan-specific polls and add in a Second Patron Poll for Teaser chapters!  I have a lot of teaser chapters out there.  I have… Harry Sawyer, a HP-only story. There’s Hp/Kuroinu and Ranma/Kuroinu teaser chapters (Don’t judge me, I was asked about it, then read some good crossover fics in it before going looking for the original. 0/10 do not recommend, but the characters can be interesting) both of which are unnamed as yet.  Older than those, there is a Ranma/High School of the Dead teaser called An Aunt’s Touch. In contrast, there is Going Off The Rails, a new HP/SW teaser chapter, which took up residence in my head a few months back thanks to Tellemicus Sundance.  So much so I wrote up a few more scenes for it after posting the original teaser chapter, but I would still determine the whole concept still being under the label of a teaser chapter.

To determine which poll to remove, I would choose to remove one randomly via a website that will let me use a two-sided die or equivalent and replace it with a patron only poll consisting of the above-mentioned stories.

Remove one of the two fandom-specific polls and add in a Second Patron Poll and let us pick from your story outlines! Like above, I would randomly remove a fandom poll and then have a list of concept outlines.  I would choose at least five, one random, and two from my typical fandoms, and post them all in a poll with links to the outlines themselves, for you all to choose from.  I would then write up a new teaser chapter. 

To determine which poll to remove, I would choose to remove one randomly via a website that will let me use a two-sided die or equivalent just like the above choice, and replace it with a cross-fandom patron only poll with three story ideas from each fandom, Ranma and HP, along with maybe some others, and have you all vote on which.

Remove the HP poll for a second month and update FILFy again since it’s the story closest to completion.  After I get out the FILFy chapter for Thanksgiving, I will have three more large-scale chapters to go before the story’s finished.  With a small epilogue included at the end.  Honestly, if this choice wins, I might put up another poll and see if people just want me to set all my HP poll fics aside and push until this is finished entirely.

For those of you wondering, no, my two dropped fics, Semblance of Hope and Gods and Devils and Horses oh My will not be part of these polls.  I may bring them back when the HP stories crossed with RWBY and Highschool DxD respectively are finished, but not before.  For Semblance, I kind of wrote myself into a corner, and while I could bring it to an end, it wouldn’t be very satisfying.  As for GWHOM, it never really grabbed my attention as much as FILFy. 

This poll will be, like most polls, a weighted poll.  As such, I will be voting too.  I think I will vote for the Teaser chapter choice.  I rather like the idea of continuing any of those fics, and while a few of the story ideas are titillating, they don’t interest me quite as much.
