Friday Rambles and Game Dev Update 2025-01-10

It's the Friday Rambles.

Real Life Stuff:

If you've been watching the news lately, you'll know that there are some big wildfires going on in southern California right now. I am not personally affected or anything (currently) besides seeing lots of smoke in the distance, but for various reasons (like extended family and friends living closer to the fires, and the general tragedy of it all) it's still nerve wracking. It's a bad situation all around and I'm sad and it really sucks for everyone affected. Let's all be compassionate towards each other.

As I mentioned last week, we have family visiting for the next two weeks, so I'm pretty busy with that. It turns out it's been a lot more harder to get work done than I expected, so next week's rambles will probably be fairly empty of game dev or art. Oops!

Game Dev Stuff:

This past week I went through all the bugs in my bug list, and fixed all of them. Very cool, very productive. I also drew two new important pictures, and they look pretty good. They didn't take as much time to draw as I'd expected (and they turned out better than I expected), so maybe there's hope for me finishing all the art on time after all. Also reminded me that I actually enjoy drawing.

For spoiler reasons I won't be posting the art, so, uhh. Sorry. This Ramble kinda sux.

There's gonna be another Steam Sale for Dreams and Deadlines next week. I'll have to ready a new sales picture. I would have ideally liked to have done a sale whenever the Overtime update releases, but I can't do another sale within a 30 day window before or after the Visual Novel Fest in March, so this is the latest I can have a sale before then. Oh well! I sure hope I can have the update ready by the Visual Novel Fest!
