After Hours: Far West - Part 1

That puts this whole game in a new perspective for me. So much has changed in the last 12 years. I'll have to mention it in the next After Hours.

2023-10-19 20:03:58 +0000 UTCI loved the episode. I was a backer of this RPG. When I look back, I’m amazed at how much my life changed since I backed the project. At the time, I was a widower with a 4 yo child. Now, that kid is 16. I’m remarried and have two stepchildren. A couple of things I wanted to comment on. First, originally, the system was d20 based with Fate aspects. It wasn’t until years later that it switched to the open license version of the D6 system that Star Wars original used, along with the additions you mentioned. The art was originally going to be done by Rick Hershey, IIRC. I don’t know exactly if it was due to a falling out between GMS and Hershey, but he dropped out before completing all the backer portraits were completed. So that left GMS doing it with Photoshop. At one point, GMS got hired by Cubicle 7 and per of their agreement was that they would publish Far West but that fell through too. After a certain point, I just stopped following it, only occasionally checking to see what happened.
