Spotify Wrapped Blooper Reel

As you may know, for the past few years, Spotify has given creators the opportunity to upload a video for their top fans on the platform. I have never participated in this before for a couple of reasons: 1. I am unwell and honestly just rarely have the energy to be "on" for an extra recording, and 2) arguably more prohibitively, I am simply an awko taco. 😂🙈 I am so awkward! And I know that everyone already knows that, but it is a very different awkward talking to my phone/screen for recorded content vs the usual awkward energy I have live either in streams talking with chat, or in person in almost any context. 😅

Anyway, after a couple failed attempts at recording this video, I had already decided to create a bloopers reel. And let me tell you, I was cackling as I made this. 😂

I wanted to share this with everyone here because I want to say thank you to you all for all the support you have given toward my music. Everyone who has shown an interest in knowing more about me, my music, and the journey. Anyone who has joined or thought about joining the Patreon. Because every single penny that I make here gets put toward releasing my music. If it hadn't been for all of you here, "Villain" would admittedly still be released, but I wouldn't have been able to make it and the release everything that I wanted. And being able to bring my art into the world in just the way I hoped for and imagined is so incredibly meaningful, and I am forever grateful. 🫂❤️

Let me set the scene for you: I awoke the morning of November 7th to an email from Spotify reminding me that it was the last day to submit my video if I wanted to participate. I didn't have much else scheduled for the day, so I decided I would give it a shot. There are a few things besides my own awkwardness that made this much more difficult and time consuming than anticipated... 😅

1. The video had to be less than 30 seconds long. THAT IS NOT ENOUGH TIME! I need to meander. I need to tell an unnecessary side tangent! I need to use 8826 filler words! I need to find 918272 ways to describe my gratitude! So...anyway, my first full take was over a minute long and I had a hell of a time cutting it down and still saying everything I wanted to say 🫣

2. I, for some god forsaken reason, decided to put in a load of laundry before I started to record. Knowing full well that my laundry machine is very loud and distracting 🤦‍♀️

3. Well...I have neighbors down the hall who have two young children and recently a cat. Who frequently let said children and/or cat into the hallway to roam about and burn off some energy. Do I live on a low floor from which you can take the stairs down to the lobby in almost as little time as it takes to take an elevator? Yes. Do I live in a part of the country where the weather is never particularly bad? Also yes. Does my building have a terrace that has a specific section for children? And is that Terrance very close to where we live within the building? You betcha! But alas, those children (and cat) apparently prefer the ever enticing claustrophobic hallway 😅

4. I am easily distracted 🤷‍♀️

But I got a video done! And it only took me about 25 attempts! 🙈 And several tech issues and one deadline extension later, my video actually got uploaded 😂👍
