[STORY COM] The Storm

Greetings my generous Patrons!

I'd like to share the recent commission I did for a good friend, featuring our collie-shepherd couple and their Wolfdog friend in a lovely cuddly scene. This piece is the continuation of our couple stories with the Wolfdog, if you missed the previous two and/or wish to have a quick revisit, you can do so by following this two links to my previous Patreon posts.

This piece takes place where the three friends were just done with their bath on the lake nearby, the cloud started to get darker and storm's coming.

The Storm

Big cold drops were falling from the dark grey sky, wind was getting stronger and stronger. Sometimes was landscape illuminated by lighting from far away, but it looked that it will come closer in a short time.

Three friends were trying to hide under the tree, however, they were still wet from the bathing. 

"We shouldn't stay here, the storm is getting close to us. We need to hide somewhere else, not under the tree." said the Shepherd.

"You are right my dear, but it's a one hour walk, to get home." said the Collie.

"At least, we don't have to worry about getting wet." said the Wolfdog and took his tail into paws and squeezed it, which made a lot of water come out of his fur.

He was smiling and enjoying this beginning of the storm. He always loved any bit of dangerous weather and a summer storm was his favorite one.

Wolfdog squeeze out his tail and continues: "However, we really should get as fast as possible to your house."

"We can stretch our muscles a bit and run straight to our home. It could take much less time." Said the Shepherd.

"I'm not sure if I can run such a long way, I must awake my wolf blood." Laughed the Wolfdog.

"Ok then, we can put all our clothes in the backpack, it will be more comfortable to run without the weight of wet clothes on us" Said the Shepherd.

Wolfdog was very surprised by this idea. 

"You want to run naked in the storm so many kilometers? What if we meet someone. It sounds very wild and natural, however I like it, I'am just afraid to get into some troubles because of it." Said the Wolfdog.

"We are in a very empty region and in this storm we will not meet anyone. I'm very sure about it." Said the Shepherd, and looked on his Collie.

Collie just smiled and nodded.

"It sounds really crazy, but nice at the same time. So let's go to our animal roots." Said the Wolfdog.

They put all their clothes into backpack. And the Shepherd put it on his back. They were ready to run, but everyone were preparing himself to go in the cold rain.

"There is no reason to wait, I feel cold, let's go warm ourselves by some movement." Said the Collie and ran out from under the tree, on the way to his home. 

Others didn't wait and followed him. 

They run along the countryside, Wolfdog was not afraid about meeting anyone on the road anymore, because it rained so much, that the visibility was less than 50 meters. And he was pretty sure, that there can't be any other crazy creatures outside in this bad weather.

Only thing that made Wolfdog worried was the lighting. It was closer and closer. Shepherd and Collie noticed that too. After 10 minutes of their run, all of them stopped.

"I think it is not safe to continue running in this open landscape anymore. We can be hit by a flash." Said the Collie.

"But what can we do? We can't just sit onto roadside and wait." Said the Wolfdog.

"I know one place where we can hide, it's nearby. It's a ruin of an old house, but it could be enough to hide there and wait until the storm ends." Said the Shepherd.

"Let's go then, Collie looks pretty cold." Said the Wolfdog, when he looked at Collie who was shaking from cold.

Shepherd hugged his Collie and tried to warm him a bit, but with fur full of water it didn't help too much.

"Follow me, we will be there in a minute. The road to the old house is somewhere here" Said the Shepherd and walked fast in the direction a bit out of their current road.

They find the old house very quickly. It was half ruined building, however part of the roof was still on it's place. It offers one hidden corner with cover against wind and rain. 

They didn't hesitate and walked into ruins of the old house. They felt much more safe there and pretty comfortable hidden against the wind, while they stayed in the corner of the house. 

There was a lot of old wood inside and around the house. Wolfdog got a great idea. 

"Wait here a second." Said the Wolfdog and started collecting all the wood that looked dry. Shepherd and Collie immediately found out what he wanted to do and started to clean the ground near their safe corner of the house.

It took just several minutes and Wolfdog set the fire. It was a bit difficult, because almost all the wood was wet by the rain. But at the end there was a nice campfire. Three friends sat near the walls in the corner with the fire in front of them.

"How are you my dear?" Asked the Shepherd looking at Collie very worriedly.

"I still feel cold, but the fire is warming me up very good." Answered the Collie.

"Lets warm you from the sides too." said the Shepherd and sat as close as possible to his Collie. He also waved with his paw towards Wolfdog to show him that he should sit closer to Collie too.

"This is very nice, you warm me as good as the fire, I'am not shaking from the cold anymore." Said the Collie, and happily wiggled in between them.

So they sat in the safe corner of the ruined house, with the fire in front of them and enjoyed the amazing view on the wild weather that was so close to them. The rain was very strong and the lighting made it even more impressive.

"Guys, do you enjoy it as much as I do? Sitting in nature with friends, near the fireplace and naked like a wild wolf. It's really romantic and natural at the same time." Said the Wolfdog with very happy smile on his face.

They just nodded. Wolfdog and Shepherd snuggled closer to Collie and enjoyed the special moment.

After about a half an hour the Collie said: "I can stay like this for the whole day, but do you think that the storm will end soon?"

"The lighting is already away, but it doesn't look that the rain will stop soon." Said the Shepherd.

"I'm pretty fine now, I think we can finish the rest of our way to home, what do you think?" said the Collie.

"Yes, I think we can do it." Answered the Shepherd.

Wolfdog stand up and stretched. "I think I'am ready too" He said.

Shepherd extinguished the fire and took the backpack.

"Lead the way." Said the Wolfdog.

All of them were full of energy after this nice time of sitting near the fire, near to each other. They run back to the main road and continued to their house.

It didn't take too long, and they saw Collie and Shepherd's home.
