Part 3
The weekly church sermons often served as a common meeting ground for humans and demis of all stripes to unite under a common banner, striving to be better individuals, to make connections with their community, and to achieve spirituality they could not find alone. It was generally a place of love and warmth, and both Celes and Megan made a point of making time for the church of the Radiant One during the week.
Despite the inclusive messaging, Leila couldn't help but feel a touch out of place; she was a lamia after all, and the space between the pews didn't leave much room for her massive snake-like lower body. She left it slide under the pews, the full twelve foot length of it.
Still, Celes was a consummate patron of the church of the Radiant One, and if Leila was going to be her girlfriend, she wanted to be more involved as well. It was strange that Celes, of all people, was running behind... Leila grimaced to herself, humming anxiously to herself.
"H-hey, ah, shit, I'm not late, am I??"
Another woman approached from the side. Unlike Leila, there wasn't nothing on the surface that was different about her--maybe her skin was a little too healthy and blemishless, but you'd have to really squint to tell. She plopped next to an open spot next to Leila... which gave Leila another bit of a start.
"A-ah-" She squeaked, looking over the woman. "N, no, I mean... Iris, maybe y-you shouldn't swear in the Radiant One's house, I think..."
"O-oh. Shit, sorry." She smirked, laughing breezily. "S'glad Megan wasn't here to hear that."
"...And, um..." Leila really felt awful for harping on Iris so much, but she couldn't leave it unsaid. "Wh-why are you wearing a hoodie to church? I-if you need something nicer, I'm sure I could-"
"I couldn't, awright??" Iris blustered, raising her hands in a shrug. "I was in a rush! Getting my rounds in, on patrol. If the Goddess is gonna stick'er nose up at a do-gooder, that's her problem..."
"N-no, I didn't mean to imply... mrgh..." Leila puffed her cheeks out, her scaley hands fidgeting with a light-blue dress that paired well with her ivory-white scales. .
Leila and Iris were fairly familiar with one another. Leila was dating Celes, and Megan was dating Iris, and Celes and Megan were both very good church-going friends. Leila thought Megan was very nice... but she wasn't as much a fan of Iris' general conduct; to Leila, Iris was just sort of... rude?
And it wasn't like Iris thought the world of Leila either. Iris had a more direct-way of dealing with people, and Leila's nervousness, constant beating-around-the-bush tendencies, and overall doormats nature... Megan advised Iris not to wind her up too much.
"Could you not use my tail as a footrest, Iris...?" Leila groaned. It seemed Iris had a way of winding her up without thinking.
"Uhhhhh yer tail's takin' up the whole pew. Like, maybe you could move your tail?"
Leila's eyes narrowed. This was such a dumb argument to have, and she didn't want to get Celes in trouble with the minister. She acquised, shuffling around.
"Much obliged." Iris muttered lowly.
"Don't mention it." Leila replied, more curtly than she wouldn't liked.
Leila and Iris were content to tolerate each other's company; their lovers were friends, and they needed to just get along. At bare minimum. Not to start any scenes. Leila's eyes drifted to the podium at the front; the tip of her tail twitched.
"..."
Iris and Leila looked around the room, trying their best to avoid the concern they shared at the same time. Iris was the one to break the silence first...
"Uh... ahemhem, hey, Leila." Iris cocked her head to the side. "Megan was with you guys, right?"
"...n-no, I... I came alone." Leila studied the podium, concern dawning on her face. "I... I thought Celes was with you and Megan. Sh-she headed over to pick Megan up, b-but I was running late."
"Aaaah..." Iris nodded. "I guess they're together then..."
"Celes is handling the sermon today, she told me." Leila smiled. "She was really excited for today."
"Yeah, I hear that..." Iris slumped back against the pew, arm slumped around the backrest. "She was over at Megan's place all the time lately. You'd think she was practicing for a job interview..."
"Sh-she gets very into it..." Leila admitted sheepishly. "...They're about to start, aren't they? Where is she...?"
"Oh man, is it time already?" Iris cocked her head to the side. "You'd think she'd be here already... and with Megan too, where is she??"
Now it was Iris' turn to be anxious. She turned around and around; Leila wondered why her body kept making such strange noises whenever Iris shifted, like two balloons rubbing together... but she thought better of asking prying questions.
"If Megan's gonna be on my ass about waking up early and going to church, she can't just stand me up in the process..." Iris muttered, folding her arms. "This ain't like her at all."
"Celes and Megan are both missing..." Leila noted quietly. "Where could they be...?"
Klunk. One of the large windows above opened up; a typical sunlight, not a stained glass window. An angelic silhouette cast a shadow down below.
"Hello, parishioners of St. Oria's. I've come to deliver a message. A message of loving thy neighbour as thy love oneself..."
All eyes were on the heavenly body above, an astonished murmuring above the crowd. A pair of large, powerful angel wings protruded from the back of a tall, heavyset woman; she looked over the crowd with gentle eyes, arms spread as ready to give a hug.
"Whoa," Iris blinked. "Are services always this dramatic...?"
"N... no..." Leila gawked in turn. Their eyes followed the woman as she floated across the procession, landing at the podium with heavenly grace. Her long, flowing hair shifted on its own as if carried by a nonexistent breeze.
"...hehe! Always wanted to try something showy~" The woman chuckled, momentarily dropping her holy facade. She looked around the room, pacing away from the podium.
She presented herself fully to the surprised crowd, dressed in tightly-fitting church wear that wrapped around her curves and her cleavage; her high heels clicked against the floor as she sauntered back and forth. This was a solemn place... but the angelic woman seemed to be enjoying having all eyes on her.
"She's wearing that get up and you're not gonna say anything...?" Iris muttered. "Not to be mean or anything, but-"
"Something's strange... who is she?" Leila whispered, her eyes narrowing. "Where's Celes??"
"I was asked by Father Maxwell to deliver a sermon, and I did have something prepared. So, if you would forgive my naivety, I would like to begin by introducing myself."
The woman smiled warmly. "My name is Megales. I've been going to church for..." She counted on her fingers. "...well, a total of fifty years now."
"Fifty years? But she looks so young!"
"She's so earnest... she seems familiar..."
"Wasn't that purple lady supposed to be up there today...?"
"Megales??" Leila and Iris uttered in unison. They exchanged glances. Megales' wings folded into her back, as she stood in front of the podium.
"It was in Wyrmwood that the Goddess was raised. A modest village, far removed from city centres, it was here that the Goddess, before she ascended, learned the value of community; the village black smith took her in, taught her the trade, and entreated her the skills not only to survive, but to thrive, and give back to the community she so cherished..."
Megales had a soft-spoken reverence for the Goddess, clear in her disposition and delivery. Her words fell over the crowd; not a peep was spoken. The power of the spoken word was remarkable...
Megales took a deep breath, her eyes scanning the crowd. She blinked, recognizing a pair towards the back; a warm smile filled her cheeks.
"Crossroads has become such a lovely, accepting place. There were other places where I was chased away just for being... being... purple..."
For a second, her skin shimmered on its own as she stared off into space, momentarily achieving a familiar purple, inky pigment. It dissipated in a matter of seconds, but nobody seemed to make much of a fuss... apart from two acquaintances near the back.
"D-didja see that??" Iris blink. "Am I goin' screwy?"
"T-that was... i-is that CELES??" Leila whispered.
"...But I feel at home here. In a community that welcomes people of all creeds, all backgrounds. No matter they typical or demi, flesh or furred, scale or fang. It's all due to the loving people here that I am here today... and it's in Crossroad where I found the love of... no, that's not right..."
She paused again, her mind working.
"...The loves of my life. Leila... and Iris."
She turned towards the two in the back, raising her hands to her chest with the warmest, most intimate of smiles. Leila and Iris could only gawk in utter astonishment.
Megales unfurled her wings.
"I look forward to many long, happy years together... and to working towards a better Crossroads!"
A polite applause scattered through the procession; Megales flapped her angelic wings, elegantly floating over the procession...
...And settled in between Leila and Iris with the happiest, most earnest smile; her wings wrapped around both of her lovers.
"I love you...~" She whispered, kicking her feet.
Leila and Iris exchanged looks of utter befuddlement. Leila had a world of questions, and Iris felt the need to just stomp out right then and there... but Megales' wings seemed to hold them in place...
Megales' arms reached out to pull them both in for a hug, her shoulders and chest acting as cushions. It seems they were stuck here until the end of the procession...
Part 4
The procession concluded at the usual time without any further incident, and the churchgoers filed out of the doors. Three particular individuals were on the receiving end of side-eying expressions as they walked—or slithered—out onto the street.
Megales had a tight grip on Leila and Iris, one in each arm, as she whistled jovially. She waved to some of the folks she recognized, oblivious to the concerned looks that Leila and Iris were exchanging.
"Well, that's something of a first for me!" Megales nodded as the three girls turned the corner. "It's a good thing I got some practice in~"
"...R-right. You were... very composed." Leila smiled politely.
"H-Hey, wait a tic," Iris raised a pointed finger. "Who, exactly, are you, and what've you done with Megan? And Celes for that matter!"
"Eh?" Megales tilted her head. "It's me! Erm, us!"
"Don't give me that, you're gigantic! Meg's only, like, yay tall!" Iris objected, gesturing with the palm of her hand.
"U-um-" Leila slithered forward to cut in. "Who... who's 'us'?"
"Megan and Celes!" The white-haired angel nodded. "You don't recognize us?"
"...Ah... I can see... some resemblance." The corner of Leila's mouth twitched.
"Ohhhh, okay, I guess I really should explain it." Megales rubbed her head. "I don't want to worry you too much but... s-should we head home first?"
Iris and Leila exchanged looks, before turning back to Megales. "Whose home?"
"...uhhhh..." Megales blinked, staring blankly. That was an unexpected doozy of a question...
---
The trio returned to "Megan's" place. Megales recounted the incident from that morning: when Celes arrived, buzzed on Megan's succubus pheromones, and their fusion of mind and body.
"So... you're both... in there?" Iris pointed carefully, grimacing slightly.
"Something like that, I'm a little fuzzy on the details myself..." Megales chuckled bashfully. "S-Tan explained everything in a hurry, but... yeah! It's still me!"
Megales nodded enthusiastically. Iris regarded her quizzically.
"So... what do we do now?" Iris glanced over to Leila. "Do we gotta... share now?"
"I-I dunno, this is very... very strange." Leila forced a polite smile. "I-I don't know Iris very well, so I... this is..."
"Aw, it's okay." Megales leaned forward, raising her arms. "There's enough of me to go around~"
Megales reached out to the two of them, bringing them in closer within her powerful embrace; her arms seemed to stretch out a little further, wrapping around Leila and Iris in boneless coils. She squeezed the both of them as her coils tightened and relaxed, over and over.
Her palms rested against their necks as they shifted in her grasp, their cheeks flushed. Megales' soft skin rippled and parted, smoothing even further. Hidden to her lovers, each palm had materialized additional pairs of lips, pursed, breathing heavily; they kissed and sucked at Leila and Iris' necks, each tensing, shuddering, and moaning at the sensuous gesture.
Megales was a shapeshifter, after all... if she wanted, she could be whatever she wanted to both of her lovers. She could stroke Leila's scales, squeeze Iris' thighs, and neither would have to be kept waiting. She could kiss them, pleasure them, massage them simultaneously; her hair curled and twisted together into tentacle-esque tendrils at the thought; they slithered down the feminine forms of her loves, caressing their curves and coiling around Iris' legs thighs, and Leila's tail.
...They still seemed a little stiff. Perhaps Megales could...
Tsssst...
Her skin tingled, her pores relaxed as it began to pump out wispy pink pheromones; clouds of sweet pleasure washed over her girlfriend, and their eyes widened, glazed over, and flashed pink. Iris and Leila moaned in unison.
"Megan..."
"Celes..."
They seemed wrapped up in a different world... they only had eyes for their respective lovers. Unless Megales commanded them otherwise... in their entranced state, with her overwhelming succubi pheromones, she could dominate the pair of them easily, have them fall for her. Make them her slaves...
...Megales frowned, staring across the room as she thought to herself. She was surrounded by the two people she loved more than anyone else, but part of this felt... wrong, in a way. She had a stirring feeling in her gut, a pang of guilt.
She thought of rising to her feet...
"No..."
"Don't go..."
Iris held her down by the shoulders, looming over her as her elastic skin stretched on its own, travelling in elegant arcs through the air. Leila slithered around Megales, her tail holding the busty woman in place, her coils snug immovably taut.
"Ahngh, nn..." Megales struggled in their combined grip as they looped around her, holding her down. She could feel Iris' breath on the nape of her neck as she was hugged on all sides.
Megales' breath quickened, a pang of anxiety hitting her. This didn't feel right, she needed to get out.
She closed her eyes, relaxing her body; melting into a viscous slime, she pushed through gaps in Leila's tail, oozing out as her body collected within, bubbling and sinking deeper. She slipped free, splattering to the floor in puddles, before shuffling down the hall.
Neither Iris were Leila were in the right headspace to react in a timely manner. They turned their heads, pink hearts flashing in their eyes as they slowly shuffled to pursue the fleeing, slug-like ooze.
---
Megales retreated into the bathroom, her back pressed against the door. Her girlfriends were in a decidedly frazzled state after just a whiff of the pheromones; she hadn't been pursued like that in a while.
Her eyes drifted to the view of her in the mirror. She slowly paced over to look over herself. It was a strange feeling, to look back at yourself and see someone you didn't quite recognize...
As she studied, her body shimmered; her clothes melted away, sinking back into her skin. The peachy-hued hues of her soft, supple skin flashed, melting into a familiar pink-and-purple pattern. Her hair stuck to her backside and body, strands fusing into dollopy tendrils.
Megales watched streams of ooze trickle down her hips and chest, collecting into a pool of ooze on the floor. She studied her expression in the mirror, and got lost in the swirling vibrant colours of her form; two varieties of ooze, melting into and through one another that it was impossible to tell where Megan ended and where Celes began.
The colours had a glossy, candy-like quality to them; Megales felt a pang of hunger, but resisted the monkey-part of her imagination.
Megales wondered if she could go ahead with a threesome as things were. She found herself of two minds about it, as was often the case lately: she recalled Iris rather enjoying getting frisky with Megan, but Leila and Celes had a softer, more Bambi-like rapport. It didn't feel right to coerce either of them into something they didn't want... but she did like the attention.
Babump. She staggered back as her right arm inflated, and shrunk back to proportion in a matter of minutes. Megales stared, at the mirror, looking at the palm and the back of her hand.
"D-did I do that? Oh!"
Another forceful tug towards the window, her body seemed eager to go someplace else; she gripped the side of the sink to stop herself from being dragged away. Out of the corner of her eye, she thought she caught something; a shape in her flesh, like a face pushing out just above her left hip.
"W... what the heck... yipe!"
Megales squeaked again as she felt someone pinch one of her buttcheeks! That one wasn't her body's fault; her eyes narrowed as she turned to the door. A long, noodly arm had squeaked its way through the doorway, waving gingerly at Megales.
"Meeeeeegan~" A familiar voice slurred from the other side of the door.
"I-Iris, please-" Megales backed up.
"C'mooooon, I want you all to myself." Iris droned from the other side with a slightly playful lint. "Just step on me with those heels you like, I can take it~"
Megales blinked. Iris had a lot of strange ideas on what to do in the bedroom lately, but Megan was always eager to please before. Now... part of her wanted to get out of there.
"Ah, awawahwa!"
Megales jerked open the nearest window, melting into a pile of formless ooze; it quivered, rising upwards, and pressed against the narrow opening, spilling out into the alleyway with a wet plop. She grunted, writhing as her body shifted formlessly, before slithering out onto the streets to make her escape.
She'd have to find some way to apologize to the girls later...
