When Disney signed on they ordered two seasons of Eight episodes so they didn't have much choice in filming it that way unfortunately, so when it first began this 16 episode block was always the test and discussions on further episodes where then going to take place after that block, if Disney don't stay on I hope/assume it'll go back to being a BBC only show. But I agree that if you view it as one big season instead of two it's very similar I think to season 7 - First half with Dr and Amy/Rory and second half with Dr and Clara and Ncuti's run so far has been a lot like that and personally I've been really enjoying it. I do totally understand someone being a bit lost when you have current who mixed with classic Who stuff and it hindering the episode a bit because you can't quite connect all the dots, fully understandable, if you don't end up enjoying the finale I just hope it doesn't take away from your enjoyment of the rest of the series/show. Not that this is you guys It's more a common trend I've noticed in general that people's views of a whole series seems to live or die by the finale which I get to a point, you want to end with a bang! But putting a negative view on a whole season just because you don't like the last episode seems unfair on the rest of the show I feel, and I get the impression you'll both think poorly on this show and series just on the ending next week, which again I understand but it seems to be a common trend that unfairly takes away from a lot of good that took place before it. For example, even as a positive Pete even I admit there were some downs in the finale last year but there were lots of good episodes too, but I've noticed that when you talk about season one you only talk about it negatively and I watched your reactions I know you enjoyed some of it! lol So it's of course no worries if you end up not liking the next episode but I just hope it doesn't detract from all the enjoyment you've had in the six episodes leading up to it, as well as the ones you enjoyed in S1, if you feel both finales were a bit flat that's cool but it does seem you've still enjoyed a tonne of 'Disney Who' and I guess I just don't want you to lose that fun just because of a potential flat finale. But yeah sorry for the rant not sure where that came from lol Hope you enjoy the finale :) And if not - Hope you enjoyed the series and the show!
