It's debatable I'll give you that. I think we will be waving goodbye to the best of new Who at the end of the current run. I don't think what we had in class from the 1st 7 years is repeated from here on in. Sure there are some great episodes to come but they are surrounded by some real dross. Capaldi is very good and Missy is the best Missy but when 13 started and I thought back to 12s run I found out I could hardly remember any of his stories.

Especially Series 8 and Series 9 are Peak Doctor Who for me (of course, DW is always Peak, but Series 8 & 9 are Peak among the Peak, at least for me) -- both in terms of individual stories, and in terms of overarching season narratives. Series 10 is less good in terms of individual stories, but the overarching plot is again top-notch.

2024-11-30 14:24:27 +0000 UTCYour appraisal is spot on for me. Looking around the Tardis is cool though. Unfortunately from next series there are more and more episodes that are like this. Mixed in with the odd gem. Moffat takes too much on his own back were concentrating on the series main theme suffers.
