2017: THE YEAR OF THE BULGE ~A RETROSPECTIVE~

2017 has been the best year for Deathbulge/Me AND I'VE GOT A LONG LIST OF REASONS WHY, AND THEY'RE IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER BABY.

1) First comic of the year was also the first comic to be promoted to SKIN. DEATHBULGE TATTOOS ARE NOW A THING AND THEY LOOK BLOODY EXCELLENT. Also Alice Cooper shared this comic on his FB page hell yes \m/

2) 6 weekly strips in a row did insanely well. By far the biggest gold streak in Deathbulge history. LET'S READ THEM AGAIN. GET READY TO HA HA HA X 6.

3) Finished and self-published Horseback Earthsmack: Apocalypse 4 Wasters, my third book. People said a lot of nice things about it.

4) Went to my FIRST EVER international comic con at Planet Comicon in Kansas City, Missouri. Met a boatload of lovely fans and fellow artists. Sharing a table with Mr. Lovenstein made it all the sweeter.

5) The massive success of The Deathbulge Party.

6) Went to America AGAIN in late June to share a table with Cyanide & Happiness at Denver Comic Con and stuck around long enough to celebrate Independence Day. I HAD A REALLY GREAT TIME.

7) HOW SEXY WAS THIS DRAGON THOUGH?

8) The Deathbulge Rumble becoming the 2nd long-form comic to make it to Imgur front page. Effectively thwarting any concerns I had about The Deathbulge Party being a one-off fluke that I would never be able to recreate. THIS IS THE FORMAT I WAS MADE FOR BABY.

9) My pal Jeff's Disney-themed birthday party, where I went dressed as the cursed spinning wheel from Sleeping Beauty. (That's right, THE JEFF).

10) The Bulgémon Tournament becoming the 3rd long-form comic to make it to Imgur front page. I hope they're not getting sick of me over there.

11) BULGE & FRIENDS: SICK TRIP TO SCOTLAND (We usually go to Scotland just to table at Glasgow comic con which is always an incredibly uplifting experience in itself, but this time we stayed in EDINBURGH for a few days too, AN EXCELLENT DECISION).

12) The Trick or Treat Hourlyween Special becoming the 4th long-form comic to make it to Imgur front page. YEAH IMGUR'S DEFINITELY SICK OF ME BY NOW.
