I'm super stoked to see someone who genuinely enjoyed season 2. It had its issues, but I really think it did a very good job. It was the best season of Korra when it comes to worldbuilding. Really glad to see you enjoyed it.

Also if you listen closely, the soundtrack played when Korra was in the tree of time is mixed with the Last Agni Kai between Zuko and Azula. Its so beautiful I know yall are hyped for season 3.... its time we let go our Earthly tether and enter the void :)

This season was all about finding your identity and forging your own path, so severing the avatar connection was so fitting. In a lot of ways, this is the writer's way of showing the audience that Korra is a show separate from ATLA, with its own themes and strengths
