2022-05-13 10:38:53 +0000 UTCI don't think they are being too hard on Rossiu. He's the secondary antagonist for this part of the show. The writers want you to feel this way about it and then have your opinion change later when he has more character development. When I first watched it, I disliked Rossiu because he acted just like the leader of Adai village. However, once he grew out of that, I started to like him again. This is all intentional. This is storytelling after all

As soon as it starts to concern people and their illogicality, so many hates immediately fly to Rocío "Kill them all, kill Rossio", only children think like that when they watch it, when they don't like something.

2022-05-12 13:23:04 +0000 UTCI actually really like Shikamaru but dislike Rossiu. Though my favorite character in Gurren Lagann has always been Viral, not Simon. There are different sorts of "realistic" characters, and Rossiu is one that goes too far one way that he becomes a hypocrite by repeating the same old (bad) teachings that killed his own parents by putting way too much control on human beings.

2022-05-06 14:20:54 +0000 UTCI agree, my man Rossiu is getting hated on more than he deserves, but characters who are "realistic", like Shikamaru to Naruto, Rossiu to Simon, just aren't as charming when put against their counterpart. Overall though I feel like even with the explanation of conflicting ideologies out of the way, to put it in simpler terms, the guy is portrayed as a dick the hate is understandable if you prefer Simon as a character

2022-05-02 02:48:29 +0000 UTCDamn you guys are super unfair to Rossiu. He wanted to capture the thing alive, Simon disregards that and tons of people died. He wanted to prevent a panic, and you celebrate people panicking just because it was the opposite of what Rossiu wanted. I for one really like Rossiu. He's just a realist in a show that favors idealism. Essentially the show has flipped the practicality of Idealism and Realism through Spiral Power. I think it's fascinating to see the dynamic swapped and I really enjoy how the show explores the downsides of realism and the upsides of idealism.
