Sun's Fury Camp - Elven Guard (WIP)

Hello everyone!

---Update November 11th---

I took my time on the shield yesterday and I think it looks cool, I just need to sculpt the hands and I will be ready to pose and support him.

I don't think that posing will take much time since he will be in a standing guard pose. Legs a bit closed, maybe a little hip side drop (like all other elves), stuffed chest, and head raised up. 

For weapons, there will be that twin blade, a light twin blade, a long sword, Halberd from Militia release, a Shield, and a relaxed hand. Due to the bracers being big and might conflict with the shield I am thinking of making a cut on the arm to keep the modularity, I will make some tests.

---Update November 10th---

Finished All the model details except for the Head/Hair and Arms (I still going to make the same layer pattern as the chest).

After finishing these parts I will start working on the Weapons.

---Update November 9th---

Finished the Gloves, Shoulder, and Helmet. Today I will move to the lower parts.

---Update November 8th---

The miniature is taking shape. Finished the lockout and started to add details at random parts.

About modularity, after sculpting the gloves and making a basic shape for the shield It was clear to me that this won't work well. The bracers have too much volume, meaning that a modular shield might not glue in the right spot. My decision about this is to keep the hands as a separate object but in the same STL, meaning that you can use Blender or other software to dele the hand with the shield or even mirror the miniature and move the shield to the other arm, this way you will be able to increase the pose options or table variety. Before going this way I will test print and check this. This might be a little delay to the release but I'm trying to find the best way. 

Elven Forest Warden, first batch print success, now I am going for the next batch of miniatures.

I started printing the Forest Elven Guard Yesterday but, I had some failures on the supports and had to redo a few, I am also going to need a bit more time because I could not test all models in a single batch.

While the printer does its job I started working on the Elven Guard. I decided to keep the chest armor plate and some pieces of the faceguard. The first picture it's only my current starting point for this release.

Since this release does not have many hand options I will do the release by pair.

Elven Guard A & B: Classic Guarding pose

Elven Guard C (Male): Low stance, with open arms (as if finishing a sword slash)

Elven Guard D (Female): Classic Elven fighting stance.

Hand Options: Twin Blade, Elven Tower Shield, Elven Sword, Relaxed hand. I will also include Militia Hand options if you missed the last release.

All the models will have 2 options, with and without faceguards.

I will keep updating this post as I move along in the sculpting process. If you have any suggestions please leave them in the comments below.
