Sun's Fury Camp - Wild Ostrich (References)

I will be releasing the workers today but before I work on the release and then the Militia versions, I decided to start this topic and start a discussion on the ground mount, so that I have time to prepare accordingly before I start sculpting.
These are the references. Each of them has its own cool aspect and their down aspect in my opinion:
- Top left: Love bird. I really like the proportions, but it lacks feathers to call it interesting.
- Bottom left: Emu and Ostrich. Probably the Emu proportions are more interesting than the Ostrich, but I can't picture an Elf riding an Emu (I think it lacks feathers). But for the name Ostrich is a lot cooler.
- Top right: Blood Elf mount. I think the legs and neck are too thin. I don't really know what to think on those scales, maybe odd is the best word to describe but doable.
- Center down: Filolial from Shield Hero. The neck thickness looks right. In some pictures they do have some really big eyebrows that resemble a BE
- Bottom right: Chocobo. I like the feather structure.
With all those pointed out here is where my current thinking leading me into. For proportions and beak, I will go with Lovebird, body feathers I will go with Chocobo's. Wing feathers BE mount. Head feathers are a mixture Filolial and Chocobo.
What I can't decide is the scales on the chest. If I use them, I will call this miniature Dragon Ostrich (this also reminds me of Dragon Hawk, in terms of name).
What do you think about my ideas? What do you think about the scales?

2022-10-19 12:46:39 +0000 UTCI was never a big fan of the Blood elf mount, I think it has a stupid face and tiny neck :D LOL. Also its wings are too big maybe? Weird because I thought Chocobo Knights in FF are cool. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CC7FWPzWIAAUYxR?format=png&name=large I like the way the Chocobo has a thicker neck and shorter beak, I also like the big tailfeathers and the small wings which make it sell more as a flightless bird.
