Hello everyone!
This is the last WIP... well... it's done lol. I was thinking of sharing only the final render or the test print but in the end, I wanted to share her before I join everything and she loses her colors.
I decided to add that tree to the basing so that I could put her in contact with the tree and increase her "fall resistance", I know many people don't like basing with trees and etc (I am one of those), but I got excited and kept going. With a few adjustments, I think she would look good at 54mm or 75mm scale.
Blender removable items: Purple cape, Quiver, and shoulder armor.
Detailed almost all of the model. For the boots, I was in a tight spot because there were simply not too many references and I did not want to go the same way as the new model, so I took references from those old models and created something new that resembled the old (That time when all-female models are a re-skin of one another).
Today I will create the other variant of armor to use instead of the green corset, quiver, pose the model and add the finishing details. The details on the side belt, corset, cape, and skirt will be sculpted after the pose.
For the pose, I think that the reference pose is cool but I don't think it would look cool on a miniature, because, she is aiming her bow down and her cape movement looks odd as if she was stepping back or making a turn, and this does not correspond to her feet position, maybe jumping and shooting but again the cape does not make sense. I will try to keep the running and shooting pose style (Upper torso position).
Stay safe, May the 4th be with you.
I have made a block out of the main shapes for her, but I will still make more blocks for the gloves. As I have talked about, the green corset will be one of the variations, the other will be the scale mail.
I will start refining the shapes by her torso, It may not show that much because of the position that she will be but, to me, it's one of the main shapes.
---End of update---
Sharing my progress on the sculpting progress of The Patron Commission - Alleria Windrunner.
As usual, I start analyzing the art references to make better planning of my sculpting time, there are more art references but I brought these two because they are the most important.
The Art on the Left was the one requested but, some details are missing information because of the arm covers and there is no back info, so I have to fill it in some way. That's where the Right Model comes into play. My idea is to pull some details from the Right and add them. From what I could understand she is wearing a Shirt and a Tasset, to fill the torso region my Idea is to add the Armored Bra over the shirt. Doing this allows me to make the shirt removable, revealing the scale mail and making her something closer to the Right design.
I will keep updating this post as I move in the sculpting progress.
Best regards,
Ivo
