Hello everyone!
-- Update 26th October --
I have Finished the blockout, sculpted details, and posed the first Elf. I will still change a bit the face, sculpt the Hair, Cape, repose and sculpt the right arm and hand, add a quiver. I was going to test print today but I saw a video on Youtube about some Patreons (I forgot the name of the channel), and I agree with him on some parts and one of those was to add the basing along with the model. So I will be creating a Base for the Elfs and test print along with the model. This way the new releases will come with bases, even if you don't wish to use them.
Because of posing and some details making modular to change bow and blades is kind of impossible without looking awkward, so I will be making an extra modular next month.
My goal is to Release at least one Elf by the end of this month.
--End of Update--
I have started the Elven archer and I am in a stage that I think is worth sharing because I have something "less ugly" to show, and if you have something to say I can change my point of view.
I still have lots of armor and small bits to add but this shows the direction where I am going, for now, is just a Sketch and testing poses.
Initially, I was thinking of making soldiers for this set but... Every soldier has a name. So I guess I will be adding 3 female names. They will be wearing the same uniform but will have different hairstyles, faces, ear sizes, and accessories.
What this miniature will have? 3 variations each: Normal, Hood, and Capeless. The front skirt will be a separate object that you can remove on a 3d software, one of them will have an extra Skirtless version because I will print it. I will see the possibility of adding a Dagger hand or Arm to make more possibilities (Doing this I will also add a Bow and Quiver to glue on the back). I will make one or two 25.4 Bases to add to the set or Individual releases. I intend to add a Mounted version, later on, so can't say how many yet.
Scale/Size: This will be a 32mm scale (Human 1,8 Meters) but, in-game NElves have around 7" which is 2.13Meters, meaning they will be taller from feet to toe. They should have around 35,5mm, being a bit smaller than the female Draenei and Bigger than the Female Human. Knowing that I guess it will be easier to scale down to make normal Elves for DND or other games, but the best adaptation for that is the High Elves.
Hope you have liked the way things are going, I will be updating this post as I move on with the sculpt.
If you have any suggestions or requests, you can leave them in the comments below.
Best regards,
Ivo
