Here’s a fun experiment. (Well, perhaps this depends on your definition of "fun"). But.

I'm so grateful that you're here. If you know my philsophy - from my book or from y TED talk - I believe that art should be as free as possible.

And also, the money's gotta come from somewhere. I love this commjnity that we have built around me and The Dresden Dolls - and how everybody contributes what they can...and it's worked this far.

HOW?

Some of the crew on Team AFP are literally going to do this by hand. The team will organize a waiting list of people from all over the world (and from the free membership tier) and we will send the unique gift membership links out BY HAND to people who want them.

NOTE/QUESTION: I am all about transparency....if anyone who gifts WANTS to be thanked/shouted out in a post as a benefactor, that's totally great and we can do a dedicated post. Just let us know when you email us the links.

Technical thing! If you purchase a gift through the app, the App Store adds a whole bunch of fees - so make sure to use your browser instead and just go to http://patreon.com/amandapalmer/ and purchase directly from there!

We will make a bigger post to the whole Patreon in a couple days and if any of you have been generous enough to secret santa, there will be gifting to give!!!!
