My Side Passion Projects...

Youtube has always eluded me.  I've NEVER been successful there no matter what I have tried.  So as I had mentioned in the past, as well as work on Adorkable with our lovely staff, I have tried to do something on my own... and I know it's not perfect... but I did it.  And I have three more videos coming.

So this seems like an advertisement... I know... it kind of is.  But I would love it if you check it out. If you subscribe, I will subscribe to you as well. :)

I love geography and I wanted to make a geography channel. Future episodes will add humor, starting with episode two which I hope to release next week on a Friday.

No pressure, but if you want to help a channel just starting out, or you like history/geography and poor scripts, than check this out.  I will even happily share with you two other videos we have done that are funny but not uploaded yet.  Just ask below if you are interested.

I'm not sure what my expectations are... but I do hope it's more than 100 views as per sans of my other original contents I tried.

Thanks for letting me share this.  Once in awhile I will promote it here because it's my side passion project.  I can't tell you how many hours was spent on this.  I would love to get a small following someday on Youtube, but I know I am not there yet not that skilled yet.  But we'll see how it progresses.

Back to Adorkable tomorrow.

My Side Passion Projects...

I know, right? Lol. We're just humans. A friend of mine told me over the break that my "relaxing" is still working on something. Whether it's the comic, those videos, or some of my other ventures not spoken of here. They said I don't actually relax... which.... in the usual sense, I guess I don't. But it sort of is relaxing to me... sometimes.

I was just wondering how you managed to be that productive... XD Too bad we're all just humans.

Good idea, lol! But I truly don't have that much time. I barely have enough time for keeping up the comic series. I was able to have a week off during Christmas and was super productive apparently. ;-) But now that I am back at work, productivity has dropped off a cliff. So great ideas, but for now, it will be these three videos I got done and we'll see what happens. (The other two vids will release at a later date).

Your content could reach more people if they're shorter, for sure. Meanwhile, maybe you could start a podcast or something like that with longer materials... such as this 30-minute Canada video plus whatever was cut out. I don't know about podcasts much, but they sound like a good background, be it during work or during transit. Plus, you don't have to do visuals.

I have never been to Mexico city, but I've been along the western coast, Baja California, and the eastern coast. :) The center has eluded me.

I know you are correct. Short attention spans dominate. But a smaller group of people who might just listen to it in the background is whom I am aiming at. Future videos are at 12 minutes so far. I will try to make shorter 5 minute videos too. It would be much easier. Thank you for the great feedback.

That looks like a lot of work! Tons of research and filming of Google Maps, for sure... While I appreciate the work, I assume that most of YouTube's audience would prefer shorter videos like "5 dangerous big Canadian cities that you don't know" or stuff like that with a length under 5 minutes (It's YouTube, after all... everyone's trying to grab the audiences' short attention spans), and the channel would probably gain a niche following after several videos... not that it's a bad thing.

Well, if you consider Ia m from Mexico City the worst of Vancouver is nice :p

You might not want to watch this then, lol. I tear Vancouver apart! But it's quite interesting if you want to know about some of Vancouver's bad side. It's a beautiful city and I love it too. I also like Halifax! I've been there and it was a nice smaller city. It's been a few years since I've been there though. I also bring up some of Halifax's sadder info as well.

Oh interesting to listen to this, Canada to me a Mexicans sounds liek the ideal place to emigrate, love Halifax and Vancouver, they are some of my favorite places in the world!

Thank you. Fixed.
