These portraits were taken in NYC by Mark Laubenheimer, who is just a lovely, inspired human being. These were taken in 2018, I believe. I was going through a very difficult time in my life -- taking care of my grandfather who was slowly deteriorating in between abbreviated tours, maintaining sobriety (but struggling) and dealing with an eating disorder. Despite being quite punishing to my body, I was still heavier than I was comfortable with, being a nude model. These portraits were very challenging at first, given what I was going through, and not having the luxury of hiding behind my hair or feigned sensual poses. But it was fun to step out of being simply pretty and into some more vulnerable expressions.
