2025-09-16 04:39:37 +0000 UTCI agree with you some of the writing seems incohesive between episodes. You fully convinced me that original scene with Homelander and Butcher should have been imagined. (I forgot it supposedly was real?) It doesn't make sense in that Homelander can just kill him easily. But I interpreted the scorched earth as reminiscent of the Joker and Batman from Nolan's films. Like Homelander thinks Butcher is too fun to just kill- "I don't want to kill you. You complete me." Homelander has always been craving an adversary, to challenge him. You can tell he was having the time of his life during Stillwell's house scene. Butcher doesn't bullshit him like everyone else, so he respects him on that level too. But now that Butcher has powers it changes the dynamic and it scared him. And Homelander doesn't know anything about temp V- this is the first time he's encountering it. To take the og V injection as an adult, you apparently have to have specific genetic makeup, like Victoria's kid, Kimiko, her brother, etc.

Who knows what would have happened if he hadn't expended so much energy/radiation. ( not quite done, maybe you touch on that) * teleporting Homelander as if he can't fly and find home 😂
